A little girl has tragically died after drowning in a backyard swimming pool in Adelaide.
Emergency services were called to a Klemzig home in the north of the city around 10.20am on Thursday after the girl, aged 4, was pulled unconscious from the water.
Paramedics worked desperately to resuscitate the girl using CPR before she was rushed to Women’s and Children’s Hospital, where she sadly died.
There are no suspicious circumstances.
No further details are available at this early stage.
South Australian Police will prepare a coroner’s report.
This is the second drowning in Klemzig in a month.
