King Charles sets the record straight amid Meghan Markle rivalry allegations

King Charles called 'mean' for 'humiliating' Prince Harry twice this week

According to a royal commentator, King Charles would never consider upstaging his daughter-in-law Meghan Markle, despite reports suggesting a rivalry over jam jars. For the uninitiated, the Duchess of Sussex made a surprising return to Instagram on March 14, 2024, announcing her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.

Since then, it has launched trial products including strawberry jam, raspberry jam and dog biscuits. Coincidentally, Monarch also sells organic jams through The Highgrove Shop, leading to speculation about a “rivalry” between the two. New Idea Magazine Meghan has even been reported to believe it is a “deliberate attempt by King Charles to curb her success.”

However, royal expert Angela Levin dismissed these claims during an interview with OKLevin said: “Meghan is very upset about her jam jars. King Charles removed jam from her house and she allegedly felt he was taking it away from her.”

“I don’t think it would occur to him to do that, to take it away from her. It’s not in his nature,” Levin said. Commenting on the recent report, Levin added: “Apparently she was keen to have a conversation with the king and Prince Harry allegedly held her back. I don’t believe that part.”

Levin also revealed the logistical challenges of contacting the monarch directly. “His Majesty doesn’t have a mobile phone and you can’t talk to him. You have to talk to aides and when he’s in a particularly bad mood, you can’t even do that.”

The royal expert’s observations suggest that King Charles has no intention of upstaging Meghan Markle, despite the coincidental similarities in their product offerings. This insight sheds light on the complex dynamics within the royal family and dispels rumours of a deliberate rivalry.
