King Charles is reportedly hesitant to welcome Prince Harry back into the royal fold, according to a royal expert. This reluctance stems from the controversial and explosive comments Harry has made about royal life since he stepped down from royal duties.
In 2020, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle decided to step back from their roles within the Royal Family, a move that has since caused considerable tension. Harry’s subsequent revelations and criticism of royal life have reportedly caused significant upset within the family.
Rumors suggest that Harry is interested in reconciliation and repairing the rift with his father and brother. However, a royal expert has stressed that Harry must reflect on the repercussions of his actions before he expects to be welcomed back, especially by King Charles.
Photographer Arthur Edwards MBE said Sun: “I think he is the prodigal son, in my opinion, and he has to think about what he is doing and the damage he has done.” The damage concerns Harry’s comments in his Netflix series as well as his 2023 autobiography ‘Spare’. In his memoirs, the Duke of Sussex called Queen Camilla “dangerous” and accused her of sacrificing him on her own “personal public relations altar.”
Edwards added: “I imagine the King is not happy with Harry being surrounded by people where he can learn stories and hear gossip and put it into his next book or his next podcast or next radio or television interview and it seems like he’s well informed.” .
He added that Charles was hurt by Harry’s words about Camilla in his memoirs, and that he “could not easily forgive” Harry for it. He continued: “I imagine the King had strong words with him about it.”
