Kim Kardashian’s ex-boyfriend Ray J shared a shocking post after the 2024 BET Awards at the Peacock Theatre in downtown Los Angeles on Sunday.
After alluding to a backstage altercation that occurred at the event, the 43-year-old rapper shared a photo of himself walking the red carpet looking calm and collected, which he said was taken before “everything went wrong.”
“First on #BET and then later on too. I’m really at a breaking point!” she wrote in the caption on her Instagram story. “Supporting my family and having generational wealth was always the plan. But money is bad and people are a gang and I can’t take it anymore!”
He continued: ‘These chain reactions arise from being locked in a false reality and being confused about this whole life!’
The singer said the “shit” going on around him is “mind-blowing” and makes him “suicidal and uncomfortable with the perception of reality.”

He went on to claim that the BET Awards staff banned him from the show and “wouldn’t let him back in” for some reason.
“I don’t know who they didn’t want me to see. It was weird,” he said.
Towards the end of her speech, she wrote: “I WAS PAID TO SHUT UP AND I DID! I FEEL BAD AND HATE MYSELF FOR IT! I DON’T WANT ANY MORE OF YOUR DIRTY MONEY!”
In a deeply worrying move, she ended the post by saying goodbye to her sister, Brandy, and promising that she would “fix it.”
“I’m not going to let them get away with this!” she concluded. “I told the people close to me that I felt like something was about to happen. Fuck it. I said it.”
According to Us Weekly, “he was involved in a physical altercation with Zeus Network CEO Lemuel Plummer outside of rapper GloRilla’s BET Awards after-party.”
In footage shared online of the fight, the two men appeared to begin arguing, before Ray J seemingly attacked Plummer but was blocked and removed by security.
He is currently in the midst of a divorce from Princess Love, with whom he has a daughter, Melody, five, and a son, Epik, four.

His post comes after he claimed that he and Kardashian paved the way for the adult content website OnlyFans with their infamous 2007 sex tape, Kardashian, Superstar.
While appearing on the Club Shay Shay podcast with Shannon Sharpe earlier this month, she claimed that “everything would be different” if it weren’t for the tape.
“Probably more people would go to college… maybe there wouldn’t be OnlyFans or anything like that,” she added. “Are we part of the cure or are we part of the disease? I have no fucking idea. I’m just trying to do the right thing.”
Ray J also admitted that his perspective has changed because he now has children and that he was “embarrassed” that the tape came out.
“Everything we used to do now that I have kids is totally different. It’s all crazy.”

This is not the first time the musician has spoken about the sex tape with Kim.
In 2022, she claimed that her mother, Kris Jenner, 68, selected one of three sex tapes she filmed with Kim for the release of the adult film.
The artist said that Kim’s mother and her manager Jenner saw the three sex videos and decided to publish one that was filmed at a resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Ray J, whose real name is William Ray Norwood Jr., said two of the adult films were filmed in Cabo San Lucas and one in Santa Barbara, California.
He continued: ‘These chain reactions arise from being locked in a false reality and being confused about this whole life!’
In an explosive interview with DailyMail.com in May, Ray J claimed the infamous sex tape was “released as an album” by Kim herself, who also kept the only copy of it in a Nike shoe box under her bed along with other steamy videos she made with it.
The musician also claimed that Kris was the one who introduced him to Vivid CEO Steven Hirsch.
Vivid was the company that released the sex tape between Kim and Ray J in 2007.
Jenner has denied any involvement in the release of the tape, which raised the family’s profile, eventually leading to unprecedented success on reality television and paving the way for her marketing empire.
In 2022, Jenner passed a test on The Late Late Show, as a polygraph said she was truthful in saying she did not arrange for the sex tape to be released.
Kim and Ray J dated on and off for about three years, from 2003 to 2007.
Ray J has two children with his ex-wife, while Kim has four children with ex-husband Kanye West.
They share daughters, North, 11, and Chicago, six, as well as sons, Saint, eight, and Psalm, five.
