Kim Kardashian is not pleased that Kanye West chose to involve disgraced rocker Marilyn Manson in his August 26 Donda listening event at Soldier Field in Chicago.
On Friday numerous sources told PEOPLE that she was blindsided by his cameo as she ‘wasn’t in the loop’ about the rapper’s plan, and ‘would have never participated if she knew Manson would be there.’
The 52-year-old embattled heavy metal artist, real name Brian Hugh Warner, is reportedly set to collaborate on West’s Donda album despite being in the midst of four ongoing sexual assault cases — with 16 women in total having accused him of sexual and psychological abuse.

According to one source the SKIMS founder ‘missed’ both Manson and DaBaby’s appearances as she could not see the trio from where she was seated.
‘She was seated inside a suite facing the back of the house on the stage so she would not have been able to see them at all from her vantage point,’ a source said.
‘She wasn’t in the loop at all about what was happening at the show. She was only aware of what Kanye had asked her to do, and she was willing to help him,’ it was added.
A second said that she ‘wasn’t clued in on everything that was going to happen,’ at the event but ‘a lot of it took her by surprise.’
Unaware: Kim reportedly did not have a view of the controversial duo alongside her husband at the show as she was ‘seated inside a suite facing the back of the house’
Collaboration: West shocked audiences when he released a verse on his track Jail, originally sung by Jay-Z, with DaBaby and Manson is reportedly set to collaborate on the album
‘Kim is the first one to support his visions. He asked her to be part of the listening event and she said yes without hesitation. She didn’t know that Marilyn Manson would be there too.’
After getting wind that her estranged husband brought out both Manson and DaBaby (who incurred backlash for homophobic statements), the reality star reportedly began to contemplate her participation but decided to ‘fulfill her promise,’ explained another source.
‘You have to decide: Do you bail at the last minute, or do you do what you agreed to do? In the end, she decided to stay and fulfill her promise. That doesn’t mean that she supports Marilyn Manson or DaBaby and the things they believe. She was there to support the father of her children.’
A third source added: ‘She understands why there is backlash. Kim is all about positive publicity. She would have never participated if she knew Manson would be there.’
Marital bliss: The former couple of seven years shocked the stadium as they paid tribute to their wedding but a source told TMZ that they ‘are not back together’
Veiled: Kim was seen wearing a Balenciaga Couture gown and a veil for a wedding scene during the final track at the listening event, No Child Left Behind
At odds: The SKIMS founder filed to divorce West in February but as it was said that she continues to be ‘the first one to support his visions,’ despite their ongoing divorce she chose to show up for the rapper; pictured February 2020
Ahead of the event it was revealed that ‘Ye’ and Soldier Field would have roughly 1,500 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine on site for concertgoers, including the two shot Pfizer and the one shot Johnson & Johnson.
Per TMZ, out of an estimated 38,000 attendees only 13 got the shot, and at his second listening event in Atlanta at the Mercedes Benz Stadium only 4 out of a whopping 40,000 attendees rolled up their sleeves.
During the listening event fans were shocked to find out that West replaced Jay-Z’s verse on a track called Jail with DaBaby who stood alongside Marilyn and Kanye for a few numbers.
And on Friday it was revealed the reason for Manson’s participation in the third listening event as he is reportedly set to collaborate on the impending album.
‘Marilyn Manson’s voice is featured on DONDA,’ a spokesperson for Manson tells PEOPLE. ‘And he will continue to conceptually collaborate with Ye on the DONDA project.’
The collaboration is set to cause even more outrage as the rocker currently has four sexual assault cases against him, including allegations of sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, human trafficking, and unlawful imprisonment.
Controversy: It was the first time Manson had been seen since he was accused of sexual assault, with four different women filing lawsuits against him (pictured above: West, DaBaby and Manson on stage)
Shock factor: Kanye West was joined on stage at his Donda listening party in Chicago by disgraced artists DaBaby and Marilyn Manson
‘This isn’t the news I wanted today. What is Kanye doing?’ one distressed fan wrote on Twitter, with another saying: ‘This is just a bad look.’
‘Why would he even allow that on an album with his mom’s name as the title?’ another fan wrote, as one user simply said: ‘Sick!’
Manson – who is denying all charges – also faces accusations of sexual abuse and domestic violence from over 15 women in total, including actresses Evan Rachel Wood and Esmé Bianco.
And DaBaby – real name Jonathan Kirk – recently came under fire for making homophobic statements in relation to HIV/AIDs on stage at Rolling Loud in July which caused him to be dropped from several music festivals including Governor’s Ball and Lollapalooza.
Problematic: Both DaBaby and Manson have been embattled for behaviour including an unhinged homophobic rant and numerous sexual assault allegations, respectively
Last month, model Ashley Smithline, 36, submitted her complaint against Manson in the Federal District Court for the Central District of California, outlining allegations that the rocker raped, whipped, burned and cut her.
The model also claims Manson ‘branded’ her by carving his initials into her thigh with a ‘knife emblazoned with a swastika.’
Smithline said Mason first contacted her around the summer of 2010, allegedly telling her that he wanted to cast her in a remake of True Romance, according to the suit.
She is one of 15 women, according to People, to accuse Manson of sexual, psychological and physical abuse, in addition to actress Evan Rachel Wood, Esmé Bianco and Manson’s former assistant Ashley Walters.
‘I survived a monster,’ Smithline told People magazine (pictured) in May
Former girlfriend: Evan Rachel Wood also has alleged Manson was abusive toward her
Speaking out: Game of Thrones actress Esme Bianco filed a lawsuit in federal court, accusing Manson of sexual assault and battery, and violation of human a trafficking law
Shocking: In 2019, Bianco posted this photo of her back covered in welts from a beating that was allegedly carried out by Manson, although she did not name him at the time
Manson has since denied all claims, referring to them as ‘horrible distortions of reality’ that misrepresent consensual relationships with ‘like-minded partners.’
As of February, Manson was under investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department for alleged abuse, the department told DailyMail.com at the time. It’s unclear if he’s still under investigation.
Game of Thrones actress Esmé Bianco was the first woman to file a lawsuit against Manson, alleging that the singer raped and sexually battered her.
The complaint, filed in the United States District Court for the Central District of California, claims that Manson violated human-trafficking laws by bringing Bianco from London to Los Angeles under the pretence that she would be acting in a music video.
Quick switch! Though Jay-Z had a verse on one track on the album it was revealed that West decided to swap it out with DaBaby’s

A month later, Walters sued former boss Manson for sexual assault, battery and harassment, claiming that the Tainted Love artist made her work 48-hours straight and occasionally groped and kissed her.
The third is a woman who has chosen to remain anonymous. She is also among more than a dozen women to allege sexual impropriety against Manson.
Last month, Manson turned himself into police after a warrant was issued for his arrest following an alleged spitting incident in 2019.
The rocker allegedly spat at a female videographer before blowing his nose ‘at her’ during a concert at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion. According to TMZ, Manson handed himself over to officials, where he was booked and released shortly afterwards.
Joining forces: The three stars appeared together on the steps in front of the huge crowd
Manson was released on personal recognizance bail under the conditions that he won’t commit any crimes while on release, won’t have any contact with the alleged victim, and will appear at all of his court hearings.
