Kim Kardashian has opened up about the struggle of parenting a child with a learning difference.
The reality TV star, whose daughter North West, 11, previously revealed she had been diagnosed with dyslexia, shared a video on her Instagram Stories of her friend Lauren Sanchez speaking on ‘The View’ about her children’s book, The Fly Who Flew to Space, where she opened up about her own struggles with dyslexia as a child.
Alongside the post, Kim, 43, wrote: ‘I’m reposting this not because she’s my friend and I love her but because all the mothers out there who have struggled with their children with dyslexia or any learning difference need to know that everything will be okay.’
Last year, North revealed her diagnosis during a TikTok livestream.
Kim’s daughter, who has amassed more than 19 million followers on the social media platform, said: “Guys, I have dyslexia. Do you know what that is?”

The reality TV star, whose daughter North West, 11, was diagnosed with dyslexia last year, shared a video on her Instagram Stories telling other parents experiencing the same struggle that: ‘Everything will be okay.’
Kim replied, “Northie, you sure are talking a lot,” and then asked her to end the live broadcast, adding, “You’re talking too much. I’m not talking about the things you’re going through, by the way.”
Meanwhile, North, whose father is controversial rapper Kanye West, previously revealed she is already thinking about becoming an entrepreneur like her parents.
The KUWTK veteran said she already has ambitions to take over the family business one day and is specifically considering Yeezy and Skims.
In her first solo cover interview with iD magazine last year, she said: “One day I want to own Yeezy and Skims, and I want to own a business.”
Until then, she said she would like to earn some money walking dogs to pay for her art supplies.
She said: “When I’m 13, I want to walk dogs and earn money to buy art supplies, because everything here is so expensive.”
North told Vice Media that her biggest style icon is herself and as far as she’s concerned, the three words that sum up her existence are: “Blessed, amazing, cool” and her self-description is: “The best ever.”
The impact Kim had on her was also evident, as North revealed that her most prized item of clothing was a “Michael Jackson jacket that my mom gave me for Christmas.”
Last year, North revealed her diagnosis during a TikTok livestream, saying, “Guys, I have dyslexia. Do you know what that is?”
Kim quickly responded to the admission by telling North she was revealing too much personal information and then asking her to end the live stream.
Following in the footsteps of her famous parents, North appeared in her first solo blog with iD magazine last year, where she revealed she was interested in becoming a business owner.

Although Kim and Kanye split in 2021, they have since been seen amicably reuniting to attend North’s basketball games.
Basketball has clearly become a source of joy in the young woman’s life, and her dedication is such that she described the sport as “not a hobby” but “a lifestyle.”
“I love basketball,” she enthused, saying her fondest memory is “when I first tried basketball, because I was so bad. So I look back on those memories and I’m like, ‘Oh, I’m so good now,’ I’ve improved so much.”
