Kim Kardashian has urged her followers to beware of scams after her name appeared in a fake fundraiser, supposedly for victims of the Los Angeles wildfires.
So far, the devastating inferno has destroyed 40,000 acres in Los Angeles’ most affluent neighborhoods, and among the 12,300 structures, A-list celebrity homes and popular restaurants have been leveled.
As the official death toll rises to 24, anxious residents are bracing for another 72 hours of hellish weather conditions expected to drive fires in new directions.
And Kardashian, 44, who owns a sprawling property in The Oaks, an exclusive gated community near the epicenter of the fire, has since warned her prodigious social media followers about fraudulent fundraising emails.
Sharing a photo of one such scam, presented as a campaign launched by the TV personality to raise funds for those affected by the disaster, he wrote: ‘Beware of scammers!
‘This is not real, if someone receives an email like this. How horrible.’

Highlighting another fraudulent email, titled Kim Kardashian Campaigns for Affected People in Los Angeles and riddled with grammatical errors, he added: “This email is NOT me!”
Kardashian previously gave a special shout-out to firefighters currently battling the devastating wildfires raging across Southern California.
The TV personality, who has been criticized as “wasteful” along with other stars for violating water-saving rules, shared a message on her Instagram Stories on Saturday as the fires continue to burn.
She wrote: “I have spent the last week watching my city burn. And I have seen and spoken to many firefighters who are up all night using every ounce of their strength to save our community.’
‘Thank you to @calfire the County Fire and Los Angeles City Fire for everything you are doing to save lives, homes and property.’
In another slide, the reality star added: “In the 5 fires in Los Angeles, there are hundreds of firefighters imprisoned, risking their lives to save us.”
Kardashian expressed that they are “working 24-hour shifts” at both the Palisades and the Eaton Fires.
‘They are paid almost nothing, they risk their lives, some have died, to show the community that they have changed and that they are now the first to respond. “I see them as heroes.”

Kardashian has since warned her prodigious social media followers about fraudulent fundraising emails in her name.
He explained to his followers that imprisoned firefighters have been paid $1 an hour since 1984 “to risk their lives.”
“It has never been increased with inflation,” Kim said. “It has never been raised when the fires got worse and many died.”
“This year there was an agreement to increase the pay of incarcerated firefighters to $5 an hour, but it was rejected at the last minute.”
Kardashian then referenced California Governor Gavin Newson, writing, “I’m urging @cagovernor to do what no governor has done in 4 decades…”
“And increase the pay of incarcerated firefighters at a rate that honors a human being who risks his life to save our lives and our homes.”
Lastly, the mother of four also sent her thanks to the firefighters who helped save her community that had been threatened by the Kenneth Fire that started Thursday.

Kardashian previously gave a special shout-out to firefighters currently battling the devastating wildfires raging across Southern California.
Kardashian and her family had been evacuated from their Calabasas and Hidden Hills mansions due to the fire, but evacuation orders were later lifted.
The Kenneth fire is now 80% contained and an arson suspect was arrested this week, prompting Khloe Kardashian to give her furious reaction on social media.
“I want to thank the firefighters at @calfire Ventura Training Center for saving my community when it started burning this week,” Kim wrote.
“These are all FORMER incarcerated firefighters who have returned home and want to continue serving our community as firefighters.”
She expressed that, ‘Due to the bills passed by @antirecidivismcoalition, these guys can now reduce their sentences, removing serious crimes from their fire service records.
“And when they come home they can get six-figure jobs for fire departments.”
