Kia will unveil its latest EV3 and EV4 electric vehicle concepts at the Los Angeles Auto Show and will launch the new 2025 Sorento hybrid and plug-in hybrid SUVs that will arrive in dealerships next year.
Meanwhile, the EV4 concept is a sedan that you could totally mistake for an EV6 if you look at it from the front. The EV4 has a cocoon-like interior, but in reality both concepts have minimalist sci-fi-style cabins, with a steering wheel that looks like a Tesla Cybertruck. Kia is experimenting with the materials of the EV3 and EV4 and is looking to test sustainable bioplastics, natural dyes and recycled cotton.
Finally, Kia is showing off its newly redesigned Sorento midsize SUV that comes with a facelift and takes on more boxy, angular shapes. Kia says the upright front hood and squared edges are inspired by the Telluride full-size SUV.
The Sorento’s interior has also been refreshed and has an available widescreen curved display that connects the two 12.3-inch infotainment and cluster displays (similar to the EV9). The update will come first to the new gasoline-powered 2024 Sorento model, and then Kia will make hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions available from the 2025 model year “later next year.”
