Tristan Thompson was seen in an Instagram post with his six-year-old son Prince on Wednesday, a day after his ex-girlfriend Khloe Kardashian took to the site with a cryptic post for Valentine’s Day.
“A young king in the making, my prince,” the 31-year-old Canadian resident wrote in the post, which included a trio of photos.
Thompson, who last played in the NBA for the Chicago Bulls, posed with his son outside in front of a wooden frame with the inscription “Be Kind Be Safe Be Responsible” from which a large bell hung.
Thompson, who has played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics and Sacramento Kings in the past, wore an all-black ensemble of a knit cap with button-up shirt and pants, paired with white sneakers.
Prince, whose mother is Thompson’s ex-Jordan Craig, beamed as he held a bouquet of roses on what seemed like Valentine’s Day. He was dressed in a maroon T-shirt with black pants and white sneakers.

Thompson’s post came a day after Kardashian — who shares two children with the professional athlete — posted a quote that read, “Not to spoil the ending for you, but the heartfelt victory at the end, remember that.”
Thompson and trainer Maralee Nichols reached a legal agreement in December over child support arrangements for their son Theo, one.
The professional athlete agreed to pay Nichols $9,500 monthly for the child, over whom she will have sole custody, ET reported.
Thompson has not been pictured in public or on social media with his youngest son, although part of the child support arrangement mandated a visitation schedule, which will be determined at a later date.
Thompson has often posted pictures of his older children on the social media site, where he has 3.8 million followers.
The NBA pro shared a trio of snaps with his daughter True on his Instagram account on Sunday as she proudly wore his Chicago Bulls jersey.
In the shots, the free agent basketball player, who shares his four-year-old with Khloe, lovingly held her and kissed her on the cheek.
He added a short message to the caption of his post that read, “Jersey Day is my favorite day of the school year.”

The professional basketball player’s daughter wore a jersey with the colors of the Chicago Bulls, with whom he is currently signed. Thompson and Kardashian, 38, were first linked in 2016 and they maintained an on-again, off-again relationship for years to come.
Thompson opted for an almost all-black outfit that consisted of a half-zip jacket and leggings.
The media personality completed his look for the day with a pair of Nike sneakers and stark white socks.
The athlete was previously in a relationship with Jordan Craig, with whom he shares a son named Prince. It was revealed that the couple expected to welcome a child into their lives two years later, and True was born in April.
The former couple resumed their rocky relationship that lasted until 2021 when they went their separate ways for good.
That same year, the professional basketball player was named in a paternity lawsuit filed by Nichols.
Last July, it was revealed that he and Kardashian had fathered another child through surrogacy.
The two welcomed their son, whose name has not yet been made public, in August.

Kardashian spoke about co-parenting with Thompson during a conversation with Ellen DeGeneres, where she expressed through She knows that she found the process particularly difficult.
“I think it’s one of the hardest things I think I’ve ever done, because you have your own personal feelings,” she said.
The reality television personality also noted that she had to learn how to balance her own thoughts about Thompson’s behavior and her concern for her children’s well-being.
“If you can put that aside and just put your kid first — I mean, it sounds great when you’re all in love and everything — but when you’re going through something, it’s such a challenge,” she said.
However, Kardashian said all she wanted was to make sure her son and daughter were raised properly.
“You put your kids first, and it’s hard sometimes, but it pays off. And they are happy, beautiful, thriving children,” she said.
