Khloe Kardashian has been criticized for “fatphobic” comments she made in a 2019 interview, which recently resurfaced and went viral on TikTok.
The clip sees the 37-year-old KUWTK star talking about her frustration at people saying they want to lose weight, while at the same time still indulging in sugary foods like ice cream.
Khloe says, “I can’t stand people eating a bucket of Häagen-Dazs ice cream, [saying] “I’m so fat!”‘
Backlash: Khloe Kardashian was criticized for saying she “can’t stand” people complaining about being “fat” in a previous body shaming interview that went viral on TikTok (pictured above, in 2019)
She made the comments just two years ago when she appeared on British media personality Jay Shetty’s podcast, which caused a backlash from fans online, with many posting the clip on TikTok to record their own outraged reactions.
Khloe added: “And like, they won’t exercise, they won’t change their diet, they won’t drink more water, they won’t do anything, but they complain, complain, complain.”
“I’m like, you’re always going to be in this victim state because you’re literally doing nothing, you’re not self-conscious. You don’t even look at your own reflection and say, “Okay, what can I do to change things about myself?” It’s everyone’s fault,’ she finished.
Response: Khloe’s past comments angered many fans online after the TikTok video went viral
An angry TikTok user hit back and compared Khloe to a Barbie doll, saying, “Honey, you’re made in China, you’re made. You have more plastic in you than the ocean currently has, no ma’am.’
The user, called Divazzzzzzzz, added: ‘Humble yourself and remember where you come from. What journey did you make? Except to the plastic surgeon. Don’t do that, absolutely don’t. Get your life in order. It wasn’t this video. Try again.’
Another fan wrote on Twitter: ‘Khloe Kardashian is really saying this with her whole chest like she doesn’t have personal trainers and plastic surgeons shaping her body for her. Throwback to when she was the lovely sister.’

This resulted in reactions such as: ‘Because it’s so easy, right? She was once the big sister and so was her brother. Be mindful of people with eating disorders and mental health problems. Let fat people eat their ice cream in peace’
Another raged: ‘She bought a whole new body and is acting like this?! I loved her so much because she wasn’t like her sisters. But honestly, fuck her. I’ve been in ER for 15 years because people said stuff like that to me and now I’m sick of it. I hope she realizes what she said.’
Khloe often talks about her health and fitness regime and proudly revealed that she lost 60 pounds after giving birth thanks to regular exercise.
To be honest, Khloe seemed to be in an unfiltered mood during the podcast

Being on top of it: some critics thought Khloe’s comments were a bit unkind
Recurring: TikTok user Divazzzzzzzzzz said, “Humble yourself and remember where you come from. What journey did you make? Except for the plastic surgeon.’
She also fronted her own weight loss and makeover show, Revenge Body with Khloé Kardashian, on E! in 2017.
In April of this year, Khloe talked about an unedited bikini photo of herself that she wanted to remove from the internet because she didn’t find it flattering.
“This is me and my body, untouched and unfiltered,” she said in an Instagram Live a few days later about the controversy.
‘The photo posted this week is beautiful. But as someone who has struggled with body image her whole life, when some take a picture of you that isn’t flattering in poor light or doesn’t capture your body as it is after working so hard to get to this point – then share it with the world – you should have every right to ask that it not be shared – no matter who you are.”
