A search has been launched for a missing camper who left his caravan to explore rugged bushland on his dirt bike, but never returned.
Melbourne’s Steven, 58, of Waterways, was last seen around 2pm on Friday leaving a Skipworth Reserve campsite at Kevington in the Victorian highlands where he had been staying in his caravan .
He had called his partner to let him know he was going for a ride on his dirt bike on nearby trails in the Mount Terrible area and promised to call when he returned to camp, 235 kilometers northeast of Melbourne.

Police have been told Steven is an experienced RV and dirt bike rider.
They have serious concerns for Steven’s well-being as he always keeps in regular contact with his family when he is away.
An extensive search was launched as uniformed officers, members of the search and rescue team, the Air Wing unit and SES volunteers spent Saturday combing the area.
The search will resume at first light on Sunday.
Steven is described as Caucasian, with a medium build and short hair.
He was last seen wearing light-colored clothing and a black helmet with green stripes.
