Kevin Spacey’s Baltimore home, valued at $5.6 million, has sold at a staggering discount just weeks after he claimed he was forced to sell because of the cost of his high-profile sexual assault case.
The actor sobbed when he recently told talk show host Piers Morgan that his Charm City home was going up for auction to help cover his millions of dollars in legal fees.
It has now emerged that the 9,000-square-foot property has been sold to an unnamed businessman for $3.24 million.
“It’s a landmark property in Baltimore,” said Compass real estate agent Sam Sheibani. The sun of Baltimore‘We were very interested in getting it, obviously not in the circumstances in which it is being sold, but in who is selling it.’
The two-unit oceanfront condo last sold in 2017 for more than $5.6 million to Clear Toaster LLC.

There were no images available of the property at the auction, which was sold “as is.”
Spacey has twice avoided bankruptcy since Hollywood cut him off after sexual misconduct allegations were first leveled against him in 2017.
Last year, the double Oscar winner was acquitted of nine sexual offences against four men over a 20-year period following a highly publicised trial in the UK.
Spacey has vehemently denied the allegations, but faces a separate civil lawsuit filed by one of the accusers.
Last month, he appeared on Morgan’s Uncensored, where he said he is virtually broke and owes “many millions.”
“Well, I mean you have some understanding of the legal bills,” he said. “I still owe a lot of legal bills that I haven’t been able to pay.”
Spacey’s representative had previously appeared and attempted to cast doubt on whether the property was owned by the star.
Two views: Tax records show the home was purchased by Clear Toaster LLC for $5.65 million after being listed for $6.25 million.
However, court records showed he had a significant amount in back payments.
The home, located in the city’s Inner Harbour, was secretly inhabited by Spacey while filming the hit Netflix series House of Cards, and is listed under Clear Toaster LLC.
The sprawling riverside property was put up for sale after the actor fell behind on mortgage payments in the wake of his sexual misconduct scandal, which led to streaming giant Netflix dropping him for breach of contract.
In 2021, an arbitrator ordered him to pay nearly $31 million to the studio that made the hit Netflix show House of Cards.after it was revealed that he allegedly acted inappropriately towards someone on the set of the show.
When Morgan asked what he considered bad behavior, Spacey said: “Pushing the boundaries.”
‘Being too touchy-feely, sexually touching someone in a way that they didn’t know they didn’t want at the time. I’ve personally touched people, I’ve been nice to people, that’s just who I am.
But in February, it reached an agreement with Media Rights Capital (MRC) to pay one million dollars.
The house was reportedly where Spacey took refuge before his sexual assault trial.

At the height of his career, Spacey was worth nearly $77 million and had a real estate empire spanning the United States and London.
