Kevin Hart admits to using the drug MDMA (also known as Ecstasy or Molly) before cheating on his wife Eniko Hart during a 2017 incident in Las Vegas, which ultimately led to an FBI extortion investigation.

The comedic actor, 45, made the revelation on August 6 in Los Angeles Superior Court in a deposition as part of an ongoing case involving his former friend Jonathan ‘JT’ Jackson, 47. Page six reported Tuesday after reviewing documents in the case.

Hart told district attorney investigator Robin Letourneau that a friend (whom he did not name) had pestered him about using the drug, but he told her, “No, I don’t really play with drugs of that type.”

The Philadelphia native said he eventually gave in to his friend’s pressure to use the drug and put it in the water he had been drinking.

Hart said, “Fuck it,” I said, and I put it in my drink. I had a little bit of water in it. It was watered down. Since it’s in my drink, I’m fine. I’m fine drinking. The night is good.”

The Ride Along actor said that later that night, he crossed paths with a woman named Montia Sabbag, with whom he cheated on his then-wife Eniko, who was pregnant.

Hart said he, Sabbag and a woman named Morgan went up to his hotel room in Sin City; Morgan subsequently left and he and Sabbag went to sleep.

Hart said in court documents that he “did not have sexual intercourse with” Sabbag the night they initially met, but “had sexual intercourse with her the next morning” after she woke him up.

The Borderlands star said Sabbag had made an effort to place them “closer” to a hidden camera used to film a sex tape that he claimed was the focal point of an extortion plot against him.

Hart said he did not believe Sabbag had left the bed during their encounter and that the camera had been placed there previously.

Jackson was eventually arrested in 2018 and charged with multiple felony counts of racketeering, charges that were dropped in 2021.

In July, Jackson sued Hart, saying the Die Hart star had breached a “meticulously negotiated” contract they had agreed to in July 2021, in which Hart said he would “issue a powerful public statement proclaiming” that Jackson was innocent of any wrongful allegations made in connection with the scandal. Page six reported.

Jackson, who is suing Hart for $12 million in damages and seeking a trial in Los Angeles County Superior Court, said Hart had agreed to say he was “not guilty and had nothing to do with it.”

Jackson said Hart also said he would proclaim that he “lost someone close” to him as a result of the “incident” and that he was “proud to say that all charges against JT Jackson have been dropped.”

Jackson said Hart’s final statement on Instagram in October 2021 was that Jackson was “found not guilty” and that “those charges against him have been dropped.”

Jackson said Hart’s statement had not “unequivocally” cleared his name or restored “his reputation.”

In the clip, Hart acknowledged his former friendship with Jackson, as he said the incident “put a fork in the road between me and him, and (their) relationship was lost.”

Jackson said in legal documents that he “had enormous difficulty obtaining acting roles” because Hart did not clearly exonerate him in the 2021 clip with the text they had agreed to use.
