Jamie Redknapp has compared Kevin De Bruyne’s first game for Manchester City against Brighton to “Robin van Persie at his best”.
The Belgian superstar scored a header in the 17th minute to give Pep Guardiola’s team the lead at the Amex Stadium.
It was De Bruyne’s first headed goal in the Premier League, although he has scored three for Manchester City in all competitions.
Rednapp compared the shot to a goal former Arsenal and Manchester United striker Van Persie would score: the retired striker scored a stunning header for the Netherlands against Spain at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

De Bruyne has scored six goals and registered 14 assists in all competitions this season.
