Kevin Bacon revealed that he once hired a makeup artist to disguise him in public, but he hated not being recognized.
The 65-year-old Footloose star, who has been one of Hollywood’s top stars for 40 years, said he wanted to try out what it was like to be a regular member of the public but quickly realised he didn’t like not getting any special attention from his fans.
He said Vanity Fair :I’m not complaining, but I do have a pretty recognizable face. Putting on the hat and glasses will only work to a certain extent.
‘I went to see a special effects makeup artist, had consultations and asked him to make me a prosthetic costume’ before trying out his new costume at Los Angeles shopping mall The Grove.
He said: “Nobody recognised me, people were pushing me and they weren’t nice. Nobody was saying ‘I love you’ to me. I had to queue up to, I don’t know, buy a fucking coffee or whatever. I was like, ‘This is bullshit. I want to be famous again. ’”

The slasher film is the third installment in the X-rated film series based on original characters created by Ti and starring 30-year-old British actress Mia.
MaXXXine is a direct sequel to the 2022 X-rated film in which Mia had dual roles as Maxine Minx and Pearl in the 1979-set film.
Mia reprised her role as Pearl in the 2022 psychological horror film Pearl, which she also co-wrote with director Ti.
