Kerri-Anne Kennerley suffers another heartbreaking loss just weeks after posting a sad tribute to her late husband on their 39th anniversary.
Kerri-Anne Kennerly was left heartbroken this week when her golden retriever Digger tragically died.
The veteran TV presenter, 69, said her adorable dog was “now at peace” after living a long and happy life alongside her and her late husband John.
Sharing the sad news on her Instagram account on Tuesday, the Logie Hall of Famer said Digger “was the most loving dog” she could ask for.
Alongside a series of happy memories of the placid dog, Kerri-Anne has penned a bittersweet tribute to her long-time companion.
‘Sharing some personal news. Digger is now at peace. He was the most affectionate dog. She missed John and my mother very much. These photos tell a big part of his story,” she said.

Sharing the sad news on her Instagram account on Tuesday, the Logie Hall of Fame member said Digger “was the most loving dog” she could ask for.
She continued: “He loved water…except bathing. He loved playing in the mud. He was so cheerful and always brought me toys.
“He was sleeping in our bed. He was never grumpy and never fought in his life. All my love, Digger. My love, mom.
The photo reel documented Digger’s long and happy life, revealing that most of all he loved rolling in the mud and snuggling with his family members.
Kerri-Anne’s loss comes just weeks after she shared a rarely seen photo to mark her wedding anniversary with late husband John.
The former Studio 10 presenter took to Instagram last month with the black and white photo of the newlyweds posing alongside fellow TV presenter Michael Parkinson.
“Today would have been John and my 39th wedding anniversary,” she began.

She then celebrated the life of Michael, who died earlier in the week at the age of 88.
“It is also a day to celebrate Sir Michael Parkinson. It was a privilege to know him as a friend and someone professionally who was a great source of inspiration,” she wrote.
Kerri-Anne tragically lost John in February 2019 after a fall from a balcony in 2016 which left him partially paralyzed.
She opened up about her heartbreak to Daily Mail Australia in September last year, admitting she missed everything about her long-time love.
