The Kentucky State Fair disqualified a miniature artist from a contest after discovering his entry was based on a popular pornography set.

Preston Poling, known online as The Bearded Miniaturist, won third place for his entry in the miniatures show, before it was removed as “inappropriate.”

Her post, titled ‘The Casting Couch’, looks innocent enough as it shows what appears to be a typical office display with a couch, desk, computer and camera.

While sharing his work on social media, users realized that he had actually depicted the scene of a popular pornography site.

State fair officials decided to remove the piece from display due to the nature of the work.

Talking with World BankPoling said: “I created it piece by piece so that it would be an identical replica of the one we’re all familiar with, or don’t want to admit we’re familiar with.”

“On Wednesday morning I got into some trouble with the state fair police officers. That’s when I learned that the fair board was apparently considering stripping me of all of this year’s awards and completely disqualifying me as a performer.”

In a statement, Lexie Ratterman of Kentucky Venues said Poling’s piece was removed by officials.

He said: ‘Entries submitted to the fair are routinely reviewed throughout the event and the entry in question has been removed from display at this time.

According to Poling, the piece was not intended to offend anyone, but rather was more of an “ironic joke.”

He said: “The joke is not on the judges or on the people who are offended by this. The joke is presenting something that you either understand or you don’t understand.”

Poling had won awards for two of the three pieces she submitted, including one as “Best in Show” for a piece about the television show “The Walking Dead.”

She also won a craft award for her work based on the popular children’s book ‘Goodnight Moon’.

Poling was allowed to keep those tapes and his art remained on display in the exhibition hall.

He added: “The fair board superintendent asked me to be a little sensitive in the future because some things might be controversial.
