Kentucky Parents Arrested After Baby Was Found Sitting in Worm-Infested Stroller Surrounded by Drugs

A Kentucky couple was arrested after police found their baby sitting in a worm-infested stroller with drugs inside.

Tiffany McCord, 34, and Thomas Parker, 30, were approached by Madisonville police on Friday when neighbors complained about the “suspicious” couple.

The couple and their son were found entering an abandoned home at West Arch Street and Pride Avenue, he reported. WEVV.

Parker fled when police approached and left McCord and her baby in the stroller at the scene.

Police said they found a plastic bag containing suspected synthetic drugs right next to medication for the child in a bag attached to the stroller.

McCord was arrested and denied that the drugs belonged to her, only stating that a diaper bag containing an ashtray, a lighter and a small plastic baggie were hers. WFIE.

She admitted to using marijuana a day earlier.

An ambulance was called to attend to the child’s medical needs and when officers removed the baby from the stroller they made a gruesome discovery.

They discovered that the child was sitting on top of a pile of live worms in the stroller.

The next day, Parker was arrested on an outstanding warrant and told police he was the baby’s father and cares for the child with McCord.

He denied possessing any of the drugs, but said he was asked to clean the baby’s stroller and only cleaned part of it.

Parker is charged with wanton endangerment and is being held in the Hopkins County Jail on $3,500 bond. His next court hearing is scheduled for June 7.

McCord faces charges of drug trafficking, wanton endangerment and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She is being held on $2,500 bail and has a court date scheduled for June 7.
