Acrimonious: The actress was engaged in a bitter custody battle with German businessman ex Daniel Giersch, beginning in 2008 while still pregnant with Helena. She was seen above in 2019
Rutherford is not in quarantine with her two children, son Hermés, 13, and daughter Helena, 10.
The actress was engaged in a bitter battle for custody with German businessman ex Daniel Giersch, beginning in 2008 while still pregnant with Helena.
Initially, the former couple reached a temporary settlement of joint physical detention, which was in effect until April 2010.
But two years later, Giersch – best known for challenging Google’s rights to the Gmail trademark in Europe – was forced to leave Los Angeles because his work visa was revoked and he was banned from returning to the United States.
International drama: In 2015 a judge son Hermes and daughter Helena returned to Monaco to live with Giersch for good; the former couple took a picture with Hermes in 2008
A California judge then ruled that it was in the children’s interest to live with their father, something Rutherford fought until 2015.
It was at this point that a judge ordered Hermes and Helena with Giersch back to Monaco for good.
Due to her refusal to return her children to their father, Rutherford was banned from bringing them to the US and can only visit Europe.
Since the final verdict, Rutherford has been traveling back and forth to Europe regularly to visit them.
