Kelly Holmes shocked the panel when she made a shocking confession during Loose Women on Tuesday.

The Olympic runner was joined by hosts Coleen Nolan, Brenda Edwards and Gloria Hunniford as they discussed the topic of bladder control.

While the conversation began with the hosts talking about how often they urinate, it soon took a different turn when Kelly made a shocking confession about her public depositions.

The 53-year-old athlete confessed that as a runner she is often a victim of “runner’s pee and poop” and has been forced to defecate outside mid-race.

Opening up to the panel, Kelly was surprised to hear that Brenda only goes to the bathroom twice a day, as she disagreed: “No, I have to go and I’m a runner too, so you do runner pee and poop.”

When Coleen Nolan looked horrified, she exclaimed: ‘And while you’re running?’

Kelly then responded: ‘No, but I’m not funny, if I have to go, I have to go.’ Not in a race, not in a race, will I not mention her name,’ as she referred to Paula Radcliffe’s famously unfortunate toilet stop during the London Marathon.

She continued: “But if I’m getting ready for race training, then yeah, I’ll just find a spring blade or whatever there is, take the stick and push it.”

‘If you have to go, you have to go. Water or a mocha will go right through me.’

As the panel went wild after hearing the revelation, Brenda inquired: ‘I want to know what you’re doing with that stick.’

Kelly then explained that in a normal bathroom she is very particular about cleanliness, and the same applies when she relieves herself outside, as she explained that she uses the stick to tidy up the area before and after her.

He added: “I clean my area, go to the bathroom and then stack it again.”

However, Kelly’s friends continued to be dismissive of her actions and did not understand her struggle to run.

Meanwhile, there were confessions all around, as Brenda also admitted that she only goes to the bathroom twice a day, once in the morning and once at night.

“I’ll go in the morning and in the afternoon when I get home and I don’t mind having to go in between.”

The panel were also shocked by Brenda’s revelation when Coleen joked: “Are you a camel?” her before asking: ‘But you don’t hold it?’

“No, I can’t stand it, I just don’t feel like leaving, until I’m in the car and I’m about two minutes from home and suddenly it’s like, ‘Here he is, he’s coming.'”

‘But I haven’t wanted to go even five minutes before it gets really weird. I think I just trained my mind.’
