Just days after saying goodbye to his mother-in-law Janelle in Sydney, rocker Keith Urban returned to the stage in Los Angeles this week.
The country rocker, 56, and his wife Nicole Kidman, 57, said their final goodbye to Janelle at St Francis Xavier Church in Lavender Bay on Tuesday.
And just two days later, Keith was back doing what he does best: singing his heart out on stage.
The 56-year-old took to the stage in Los Angeles on Thursday for Amazon Music’s live concert series with American country rap superstar Jelly Roll.
The Somebody Like You hitmaker looked casual for the concert, wearing a simple black T-shirt with what appeared to be a graphic pattern painted on the front.
The shirt hugged Keith’s toned biceps and flaunted the generous amount of ink on his arms.
In keeping with the black rocker vibe, Keith also wore a pair of black jeans and left his locks blonde to add a pop of color to the onstage ensemble.
He played a cherry red Gibson Les Paul Jr guitar that he slung casually over his shoulder.

Despite his recent loss, Keith seemed to be in good spirits during the performance, especially when country star Jelly Roll came on stage.
The Save Me hitmaker, 39, wore a Tennessee Titans NFL jacket and a backwards trucker cap.
Like his onstage counterpart, Jelly Roll (real name Jason Bradley DeFord) opted for a dark theme with a matching shirt and pants.

And at what seemed to be the end of a song, Keith seemed to go to offer Jelly Roll a congratulatory hug while smiling widely.
He also added an element of color with a cherry red Gibson Les Paul Jr guitar that he casually slung over his shoulder.

Keith was in full doting husband mode on Tuesday as he supported his wife Nicole at her mother Janelle’s funeral.
Janelle died at the age of 84 last month, just hours before Nicole received the Best Actress award for her role in Babygirl at the Venice Film Festival.
Nicole held hands with her country music star husband as she arrived at the church dressed in a long black coat and designer sunglasses.
The couple were also joined by their two daughters Sunday Rose, 16, and Faith Margaret, 14, as well as Nicole’s sister Antonia, 54.
During an emotional moment before the funeral, Sunday was seen wiping tears from her eyes as she was overcome with emotion on the difficult day.
She was supported by Faith and her cousins Lucia, 26, Hamish, 23, and Sybella Hawley, 17, who are the children of Antonia and her late husband Angus Hawley.
The Kidman family were joined by close friends at the intimate service, including Channel Nine star Richard Wilkins, 69, and his make-up artist girlfriend Mia Hawkswell, 47.
Also in attendance were Australian television presenter Peter Overton, his wife Jessica Rowe and their daughters Allegra and Giselle.
For a sweet moment, Allegra was seen supporting Nicole’s daughters, Sunday and Faith, as she wrapped them in a tight hug.
Janelle died at the age of 84 last month, just hours before Nicole received the Best Actress award for her role in Babygirl at the Venice Film Festival.
Last month, Nicole and Antonia shared a touching tribute to their late mother on Instagram and posted several never-before-seen family photos.
In the post, the Perfect Couple star thanked her millions of fans and followers for expressing their condolences during her time of grieving.
“My sister and I, along with our family, want to thank you for the outpouring of love and kindness we have felt this week,” Nicole wrote in the joint statement.
‘Every message we have received from those who loved and admired our Mother has meant more to us than we will ever be able to express. Thank you from our entire family for respecting our privacy while we take care of each other.’
