A keen traveler has revealed the one word you should never say on board a cruise ship – after finding out the hard way.
Marc Sebastian is a US-based TikTok creator who has been sharing his experience of Royal Caribbean’s nine-month Ultimate World Cruise with his 1.7 million followers.
More recently, he took to the video-sharing platform to share the lessons he has learned so far with his viewers.
Marc shared that the most shocking piece of information he discovered was that muttering the word ‘Titanic’ was not allowed while on board.

He has revealed the one word you should never say on board a cruise ship, after finding out the hard way.
In a now-viral video, which has so far racked up more than 4.1 million views, he explained: “You’re not supposed to talk about the Titanic. Who knew that? I didn’t.
‘I told a whole room of people having lunch that our ship was only 100 feet longer than the Titanic.
“When I tell you that… cutlery falls, waiters gasp, there is complete silence.”
He noted that immediately afterwards his friend had to let him know that the word was prohibited.
Marc added: “Well, it wasn’t like that was in the damn manual.” It’s not that he read the manual clearly.
The social media star also shared that he learned the cruise had a ‘godmother,’ who he claimed was Whoopi Goldberg, and revealed that the ship even had a rubber duck scavenger hunt.

Marc first joined the cruise on January 5 after becoming intrigued by the drama on board when the ship became embroiled in claims that it harbored rampant debauchees.
The content creator begged the crew to let him get on the ship and allow him to start a reality show.
He said: “There will be enough footage for AT LEAST three hour-long episodes.”
In a now-viral video, which has so far racked up more than 4.1 million views, he explained: “You’re not supposed to talk about the Titanic. Who knew that? I didn’t.”
‘Put me on the cruise, I’ll go. I’ll cause chaos, I’ll wreak havoc and I’ll film it all.’
The clip gained viral success and led Marc to announce that he would be boarding the cruise after partnering with Atria Books.
While he was not on the ship for 274 days, he spent 18 days on the ship and documented his experience.
His last day on board was January 23rd.
