To add inches to her figure, the actress donned a pair of black open-toed heels and accessorized with an array of silver jewelry.

The star, who made headlines last month after being spotted with ex-husband Benjamin Walker five months after their split, wore her hair in loose waves.

Babygirl is an erotic thriller starring Nicole Kidman. Nicole plays a powerful New York business executive who begins a risky romance with a much younger intern.

The steamy film will feature some very intimate scenes, including one of Nicole’s character masturbating after having sex with her husband, played by Antonio Banderas.

Earlier in the evening, the 57-year-old Australian actress also stepped onto the red carpet for the film’s premiere, rocking a show-stopping outfit.

Nicole wore a dramatic nude corset that hugged her narrow waist and a black velvet skirt.

She completed her look with pearl earrings and black suede heels, highlighting Nicole’s features with a light and luminous makeup palette.

Nicole exuded confidence on the red carpet despite recently admitting she felt “vulnerable” while filming the intimate sex scenes and said she didn’t feel “brave” enough to watch her own movie.

The 81st Venice International Film Festival, held at the Lido di Venezia, is organised by the Biennale di Venezia and opened on 28 August with Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice.

The festival will run until 7 September and will see Sigourney Weaver receive the prestigious Golden Lion Lifetime Achievement Award.

Sigourney said before receiving the award: “I am truly honoured to receive the Venice Biennale’s Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement.”

“Receiving this award is a privilege I share with all the filmmakers and collaborators I have worked with over the years. I proudly accept this award to honor all those who have helped bring these films to life.”

In addition to Kaya Scodelario’s cast, a number of celebrities are expected to arrive in Venice in the coming days.

George Clooney is already in town, alongside his wife Amal, for the debut of his highly anticipated new film Wolfs, the Jon Watts-directed heist thriller that reunites him with his Oceans 11 co-star Brad Pitt.

Both George and Brad will be attending the September 1 screening.

Brad’s ex-wife Angelina Jolie will also be in Venice to promote the film Maria, in which she plays opera legend Maria Callas.

Sources say the schedules have been arranged so that the warring couple – who remain embroiled in legal action eight years after splitting up – will not be at the film festival at the same time.

Nicole Kidman also made sure to turn heads when she was spotted earlier in the evening at the premiere of BabyGirl, in which she stars, wearing a show-stopping outfit.
