Kay Burley showed off her stunning new home while taking to Instagram to give fans a sneak peek on Tuesday.

The news presenter is currently taking time off from presenting her breakfast show on Sky News as she prioritizes her move to the country.

Kay, 63, usually hosts the show alongside former BBC News star Gareth Barlow and Mhari Aurora.

However, she has been absent this past week since both Wilfred Frost and Leah Boleto have been on the air in his absence.

And on Tuesday, the star showed she had been busy settling into her new home as she shared a stunning snap of one of the rooms.

The star showed off her chic style in the snap of what looked like Kay’s studio.

As light streamed in through a massive floor-to-ceiling arched window, the star had set up her desk and chair to look out over her garden.

The antique house features high ceilings with elaborate hand-made cornice, as well as a crystal chandelier and wooden floors.

To keep things simple, Kay had so far furnished the room with some book shelves, as well as an armchair and a freestanding lamp.

She captioned the snap: “New home,” while some artwork could be seen leaning on the wall waiting to be hung.

It comes after Kay paid tribute to her sister, who is currently battling cancer.

The star shared her family’s experience with the disease in March when Kay reached out to support Kate Middleton after she announced her cancer diagnosis.

Kay, who has a family history with the disease, took to her Instagram Story to share a selfie with her sister Jacqueline, who is also battling the disease.

The broadcaster wrote: ‘Thoughts with Kate and her family and hugs to all the families who are dealing with the specter of cancer in their family.

“Especially my little sister, Jacqueline, who has been stoic in her determination to face an illness that claimed both my mother and grandmother.”

As the two smiled as they walked together in the sunshine, she added: “Doesn’t she look fabulous in her wig?”

Kay previously opened up about how cancer has affected her life, after losing five of her loved ones to the disease.

She lost her mother Kath to breast cancer in 1993, while her grandmother died from the same condition when Kath was just 18 years old.
