Appearing on SEN Breakfast on Monday, the veteran AFL journalist said Tom Morris claimed Katy’s team had rejected an AFL request for the Teenage Dream singer to perform just one new song.

Co-host and AFL great Kane Cornes, admitting he was a Katy Perry fan, added that the AFL should have a say in planning the stadium extravaganza.
“The AFL says, ‘We only want your hits. We only want your hits. We only want your best stuff,'” he said.

“That’s what the AFL has asked Katy Perry to do. And she’s said, ‘Of course, I want to promote some of my new music.'”

Katy will be performing at this weekend’s AFL Grand Final between the Sydney Swans and the Brisbane Lions.
