The 39-year-old pop star and American Idol judge used her spot on the show to announce her departure from the music competition series after nearly seven years.
The multi-hyphenate has been planning her exit from the show since last year, when it was revealed that she repeatedly felt “thrown under the bus by producers” who she believed were purposely editing her to make her look like the “nasty judge.”
To share the big news during the TV interview, the shoe designer, who suited up with fiancé Orlando Bloom last month, showed off her taut tummy in a sexy look.

The California-raised artist stopped by the late-night talk show to promote season 22 of American Idol, premiering Sunday on ABC.
During the chat, Jimmy, 56, asked him how long he plans to continue as one of the three judges, alongside Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.
‘You know, actually this fall in September I’m doing a big music festival in Brazil called Rockin’ Rio. It’s really exciting,’ Katy began her response.
‘It’s very important. It’s something very important for people all over the world, especially for my Brazilian fans. I think this will probably be my last show, my last season for Idol. I mean, I love Idol so much,” he added.
“It’s connected me to the heart of America, but I feel like I need to get out there and feel that pulse,” Katy explained.
