Katy Perry left little to the imagination in a snakeskin-print ensemble and a high-waisted thong as she celebrated the release of her highly anticipated album 143 with a party in West Hollywood on Friday.
The California Girls singer, 39, made a bold fashion statement after brushing off the lackluster reception of her debut single Women’s World.
Taking inspiration from the 2000s for her look, Katy flaunted her toned abs in a micro miniskirt that she layered over her underwear.
Going braless, the American singer paired her skirt with a matching crop top, which featured a cut-out panel around the chest.
To complete her snakeskin look, she added a matching pair of dress gloves, which reached up to her upper arms and featured gold buckles on the sides.

Typically, 143 is the code for “I love you” (it represents the number of letters in each word, one for “I,” four for “love,” and three for “you”) and was used in pagers in the early 1990s.
The album will also include some of her previously released singles, Woman’s World and Lifetimes.

Katy received mixed reviews after releasing the patriotic-themed video Woman’s World that leaned into pseudo-empowering female tropes.
“In a way, we’re having fun, being a little sarcastic with it,” he defended the image in a behind-the-scenes clip. “It’s very comedic and very direct.”
“With this outfit, the idea is, ‘Oooh, we’re not focusing on the male gaze, but we’re really focusing on the male gaze.’ And we’re really going over the top and hitting the nail on the head,” Perry explained.
He also received criticism for the sexualized nature of the video, as well as for working with music producer Dr. Luke following his legal battle with Kesha, who had accused him of sexual, physical and emotional abuse.
Woman’s World was promoted as an empowering feminist song, but was dismissed as hypocritical and unoriginal.
Kesha even took to social media in response to Katy’s attempt at writing a feminist anthem, writing “lol” on her X account.
Katy has also received criticism after her latest video for Lifetimes was filmed in protected sand dunes in the Balearic Islands.

The Spanish archipelago’s government has launched an investigation after the production was carried out without approval.
“We were assured by the local video production company that all necessary permissions had been obtained for the video,” a representative for Katy’s label, Capitol Records, told Variety.
‘We have since learned that a permit was pending, although we were given verbal permission to proceed.’
They added: “We comply with all regulations associated with filming in this area and have the utmost respect for this location and the officials charged with protecting it.”
