Katie Price has revealed how her ADHD is affecting her in court after failing to show up to her bankruptcy hearing last month.
The 45-year-old mother of five was absent from a scheduled £760,000 bankruptcy court hearing as she had flown abroad for her latest cosmetic procedure.
A warrant has since been issued for his arrest and Katie admitted she was “doing the best she could” to rectify her financial problems after receiving “very clear warnings” that she needed to appear in court.
And now, Katie has revealed why her ADHD has been affecting her court attendance in the Olivia Attwood case. Podcast So wrong it’s right.
She said: ‘If you look at my school reports, it all makes sense. They say the same thing: “He’s capable, but easily distracted.” If I’d known about ADHD back then, I wouldn’t have found myself in situations or reacted the way I did.

‘Now I know that if someone texts me, I’ll “breathe, breathe, breathe” and then I probably won’t respond or I’ll react differently.
“It’s just that, you know, the times I’ve been in court, I didn’t know how to react to things or situations, but now I understand.”
Katie revealed that she was diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in 2023 and is undergoing therapy to manage the condition.
The TV personality previously said he is learning to understand how the disorder has affected his past behavior and said that explains why he has never felt there would be “consequences” for his actions.
ADHD symptoms include restlessness and difficulty concentrating, as well as excessive physical movement, talking, and acting without thinking.
In May, Katie claimed on her own podcast that she had been banned from appearing in court due to her mental health, after coming under fire for skipping her latest bankruptcy hearing to go on holiday to Cyprus.
He was due to give evidence about his finances at the High Court in May, but at the start of the hearing, lawyers said he had told them at the last minute that he could not attend due to ill health. A judge described this excuse as “lame”.
Katie then jetted off to Ayia Napa with her MAFS star boyfriend JJ Slater and faced a backlash from the public after they were spotted sunbathing together by the pool.

She said, ‘It’s just that, you know, the times I’ve been in court, I didn’t know how to react to things or situations, but now I understand.’

On her podcast, The Katie Price Show, Katie responded, claiming she was removed from the courtroom because she was “mentally not strong enough.”
She said, ‘Everyone says, ‘Oh, he missed bankruptcy and went on vacation!’ No, let me address that.
‘The court knew I was not going to declare bankruptcy, because mentally – my consultant at The Priory – has given me the go-ahead for any kind of activity before the court.
“At this time I am not mentally strong enough to appear in court and be questioned in front of the media and the public.”
She continued: ‘I’m taking my bankruptcy very seriously, just like everything else. It’s a very serious situation I’m in and it feels like I’m saying ‘oh, she just went on holiday’.
-No, my head needs a break right now. I had four days on my schedule when I could leave.
‘When I say I’m not mentally fit or stable to appear in court right now it’s because I have a lot of things going on behind the scenes that I’m dealing with.
‘So I haven’t been on TikTok for months, since December, I’m just doing what my body and brain allow me to do at the moment.’
She continued: ‘I’m taking bankruptcy very seriously. It’s not like I’ve gone on a five-star holiday. I’m not in a £760-a-night hotel.
“It’s not my fault that my friend came to this hotel a week before me and told them I was coming and to take care of me. So when I got here they upgraded me at no charge. This vacation was actually very cheap.”

The former glamour model recently underwent surgery in Istanbul for her sixth facelift, which cost her £10,000.
Katie then added that she would not be attending her next hearing and would receive a signed letter allowing her not to appear.
She said: ‘There is another court hearing and I will not be attending that either. I want everyone to know that I received a letter from my trustees.
‘Before I went on holiday, I had a one-hour conversation with my trustees, who are handling my two bankruptcies, and explained my situation in detail. I have since received a letter from them and a letter from the court.
‘(My consultant) has now given me a list of things I need to do to get cleared and suspended from this, which has to be signed by a lawyer.
‘I’m back today, I have appointments with my specialist doctor, my therapist and everyone around me who will give me the legal discharge.’
