His lawyer, Bertie Beor-Roberts, immediately asked Judge John Briggs to grant an adjournment, arguing that he should be allowed to have a private meeting with his creditors and the official trustee, which would prevent details of his income and expenses over the past five years being aired in court.
The lawyer referred to his mental health and said it would be worse to have to undergo a public examination in front of the media and give testimony in person.
He referred to his “PTSD and ADHD” and told the court that “these conditions would be exacerbated by a public scrutiny of his personal affairs.”
He also said the court should give him more time to turn over documents sought by his creditors that reveal how he racked up a six-figure tax bill and failed to pay money to creditors of his bankrupt companies.
Katie was due to be questioned by lawyers about her finances and why she had failed to pay her creditors and the taxman.
Insolvency and Companies Court Chief Judge Nicholas Briggs heard arguments from Katie’s lawyer and noted that there had been other delays.
“I’m concerned that we’ve been in this situation before,” he said.

Judge Briggs granted the adjournment and asked Katie if she would give the court an undertaking to attend the private interview on September 24. She replied: “Yes, I will.”
The public hearing on their bankruptcy proceedings is scheduled for February 11 next year.
Meanwhile, the star has told fans she is quitting a “disrespectful” habit due to her mother’s ongoing health problems.
