Katie Price has reflected on her turbulent relationship with Peter Andre and admitted it is “sad” they are no longer on speaking terms.
The couple met and fell in love on the I’m A Celebrity jungle in 2004, married the following year and welcomed son Junior, 19, and daughter Princess, 17.
However, their romance fell apart in 2009, and their relationship deteriorated so much over the years that they now have no contact.
Reflecting on her ‘incredible journey’, Katie said the sun: ‘It was a very crazy place to meet someone and have this love story.
“No one has ever been around Pete and I there, even when other people have tried (to find love) it just hasn’t happened. There’s only one Pete and Kate.
‘But I’ll tell you the sad thing about all this: we fell in love in the jungle, we got married, we had kids, we had an incredible life, but like 20 years later and we don’t even talk to each other, it’s crazy what happens over time.’

Katie shared: I’ll tell you the sad thing about it: we fell in love in the jungle, we got married, we had kids, we had an amazing life, but like 20 years later, we don’t even talk to each other.
Speaking about the breakup of their romance, she continued: ‘It was a love story and we were in love, but towards the end, other people became involved in our relationship. That’s all I can say about it.’
Since their relationship fell apart, Katie has frequently insisted that Peter was a nobody before their romance.
Speaking on Louis Theroux’s podcast in October, the mother-of-five doubled down on her claims, as she said it was Peter’s “lucky day” when he met her.
She explained: ‘I was already established. He had met me and it was his lucky day. So we always had separate contracts. No way I’m splitting half and half, no thanks.’
When Louis asked her about what communication the couple have now, Katie admitted: ‘Don’t talk to him. Just don’t do it. Everything is through legal matters. He was quite jealous that I worked.
Earlier this year, Katie claimed that Peter, who achieved commercial success with hit song Mysterious Girl in 1996, had struggled to deal with the fact that her success surpassed his, declaring that she “did it”.
Appearing on Anything Goes with James English in March, he said: “When we worked together I always got more money, I made sure we had separate contracts.”
“I think that was a little difficult for him too. I was like, wait, you just showed up in the jungle, I already have a race going.
‘You had a song like, how many years ago? you need to earn it. This is the truth, I don’t care what they say. I did Pete again. I did it.
‘He was nobody before he went to the jungle and that’s the truth, that’s not me being ab****. “He had that blow about 10 years ago and I think he forgets where he came from.”
Reflecting on her “incredible journey”, Katie said: “It was a very crazy place to meet someone and have this love story.” “No one’s ever been close to Pete and I in there.”
Speaking of other campmates, he shared: ‘Even when other people have tried (to find love) it just hasn’t happened. There’s only one Pete and Kate’
During her conversation with Louis, Katie also slammed her other “toxic” exes, accusing them of “gaslighting” and being “narcissistic.”
She said she never felt in control in her relationships and admitted she felt “weak” with her husband Kieran Hayler, 37, whom she took back on numerous occasions after their multiple affairs.
She candidly admitted: ‘My downfall is men. I had to learn all this in therapy. I need that need and then I end up in a toxic, narcissistic or gaslighting relationship (…) but now I know my validators, it’s completely different.
“I wish I knew then what I know now to go back there, because there was no therapy, no one would know anything, and I didn’t give myself a break between relationships, because it was like, oh, I need to do it.” get another one. It’s crazy.
MailOnline contacted representatives for Peter and Kieran at the time, with the latter saying: ‘In my personal experience and that of my clients, there is nothing ‘weak’ about Katie Price. By her own admission, she has been quoted as “being strong, knowing exactly what she wants and doing it.”
Katie is currently in a relationship with Married At First Sight star JJ Slater, 31.
She wrote of their romance in her latest autobiography: “He wasn’t the kind of normal, beggarly man who would say, ‘I want to see you again, I want to fuck you.’ That’s a real bummer to me. He was none of that.”
In June, inside sources revealed that she is ready to get serious about her future family plans.

A friend told The Sun: “She is happy and has always said she wants to have even more children, so that is her goal.”
“She knows she doesn’t have much time if she wants to try it,” the source added. ‘Katie has always gotten pregnant quite easily in the past, but now that she’s older, she’s worried it won’t happen as quickly and doesn’t want to wait until it’s too late.
“Katie knows some people will think it’s too soon with JJ, but she doesn’t care what anyone thinks – she’s confident in their relationship and thinks he would be a great dad.”
The Page 3 legend has five children: eldest son Harvey, 22, whose father is Dwight Yorke, Junior and Princess with Peter and Jett, 10, and Bunny, nine, with ex-husband Kieran.
