Just five months ago, the Princess of Wales announced to the world that she had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing “preventive” chemotherapy.
“I am doing well and I am getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal; my mind, body and spirit,” she said at the time, in a highly emotional and unprecedented video message.
This followed the major abdominal surgery Kate had in January, where she spent two weeks at the London Clinic in Marylebone.
Her absence from the public eye fuelled a social media storm and a host of unfounded conspiracy theories, ultimately leading the future Queen to address the nation in her deeply personal and candid clip.
It was not known when the Princess would return to public duties until it was announced that she would take her place on the Buckingham Palace Balcony alongside her family for the Standard Parade in June.
But she has dazzled supporters with her presence and outspokenness as she makes a slow but steady return to public life in recent months.

The Princess presented the trophy to Carlos Alcaraz, reigning Spanish champion Carlos Alcaraz faced veteran Novak Djokovic, winning in three sets, before shaking hands with runner-up Novak Djokovic.
Kate appeared to be in high spirits as the trio enjoyed a girls’ day out, while Prince William and Prince George travelled to Germany to watch England play Spain in the Euro 2019 final.
Before Kate and Charlotte took their seats in the Royal Box, they met with stars of women’s tennis, including Emma Radacanu, 21, who presented Kate with a bouquet of flowers.
US Open winner Raducanu said it was “amazing” to have Kate’s support and “to see her here so healthy and happy.”
Kate, who enjoys taking part in sporting events and showing her support for athletes, also made a surprise appearance alongside Prince William with a star-studded message to Team GB earlier this month.

The royal appeared in high spirits as she was pictured arriving for Sunday service with husband William at Crathie Kirk today.
William drove the car, smiling as he chatted with his wife and opting for a navy suit for the occasion.
The Princess wore the same hat she wore to a Sunday church service last year, when she donned a beige tartan Marlborough trench coat by Holland Cooper and a dark brown wool felt fedora with feathers.
Also pictured heading to the Scottish church were King and Queen Camilla, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, along with their son, and Tim Lawrence.

Meanwhile, Charles, 75, and Camilla, 76, made a colourful appearance in tartan ensembles.
The Queen opted for a bright green blazer, embellished with red collar and button details, paired with a matching hat.
