Nova Breakfast radio host Kate Ritchie took to the stage in an impromptu performance which delighted fans at the Wharf4Ward fundraiser on Thursday.
Known for her long-running role as Sally Fletcher on Home and Away, the former actress took a nostalgic trip down memory lane by performing the beloved theme song from the popular Australian drama.
Kate was challenged to sing the song to raise money for the incredible Sony Foundation and took the mic.
Crowds at the charity event were visibly moved as Ritchie’s rendition echoed across the pier.

‘Without a doubt. I think now, now, if Home and Away were to end and they asked you to do one last show, you definitely would,” Fitzy, 46, said.
“Absolutely,” Ritchie responded immediately.
“But seeing Home and Away is going to go on for a long time. How old are you before you say, ‘No, I’m not doing that. I’m not coming back at 80 as Sally Fletcher, to do this one last time,’ Fitzy prodded.
“I think it would always come down to the fact, no matter how old I am, if Ray Meagher asked me to come back and change the sheets in the caravan park, I would do it with hands down,” Ritchie confessed.
