Kate Ritchie has responded to crazy romance rumors linking her to racing driver Daniel Ricciardo.
The radio star, 45, addressed speculation she is “in love” with the Australian Formula One star, 34, on Thursday morning’s Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie radio show.
Kate was left baffled when her co-presenters Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald and Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli told her in a recent report that she had been linked to Daniel, who often appears on her Nova FM show.
She was baffled to learn there was speculation about the “chemistry” between her and Daniel, who is dating Heidi Berger, after the Melbourne Grand Prix.
Firmly shutting down the rumors, Kate simply laughed them off and commented that Daniel’s girlfriend Heidi might not be happy to find out about fans’ speculation.

Joking about the claims, Fitzy told her: “To be honest, I thought Daniel Ricardo seemed a little distracted on the track and I thought he knew everything.”

Kate also joked about the photograph that had been used of her alongside the report and joked that Daniel would be “madly in love” after seeing it.
She joked: ‘Really, let’s be honest. I mean, if Daniel didn’t like me before, now, when you see this article, and… see on the left side a photograph of me dressed in white linen from head to toe like I’m Maggie Tabberer, you’ll be upside down.’
She was baffled to learn there was speculation about the ‘chemistry’ between her and Daniel – who is dating Heidi Berger – after the Melbourne Grand Prix.
Wippa then read speculation describing Kate and Daniel as a “great couple”, to which Kate jokingly agreed and said: ‘I mean, here here!’
Daniel is in a happy relationship with his actress girlfriend Heidi, daughter of Austrian driver Gerhard Berger.
The couple made their relationship Instagram official in 2022, but are believed to have started dating in 2019.
Daniel frequently appears as a guest on Nova FM’s Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie and previously opened up about his romance with Heidi on the show.
