Talk: Kate Moss, 44, gave a rare television interview on Megyn Kelly Today on Wednesday morning
Opening: the model looked back at her beginnings as a young model during her conversation with Megyn
She then referred to the photos taken when she posed in front of her then boyfriend Mario Sorrenti, who took the shots that resulted in Kate's iconic Calvin Klein obsession campaign in 1993.
"And then I guess Mario was my boyfriend, so I was used to it, but I was always like," Can I put on some clothes? "Kate added." But that was the job, so I just did it. "
When asked what he would say to young models, the fashion icon said he would now insist: "You do not have to do it if you do not want to do it."
"I would not let my daughter do it," she added, referring to her only daughter, Lila Grace Moss-Hack. "I look at her now and she is 15 years old, and to think that I was becoming topless at her age is crazy."
However, if Lila Grace (who scored her first campaign last year) wants to take a career in long-term modeling, Kate made it clear that she's ready to cheer her up.
I will support it obviously. I will be your manager, "Kate said, and Megyn added," Your mom? "
"Yes, I will be your mother," Kate added. & # 39; If she wants, I'll support her in everything she wants to do. & # 39;
Speaking in public: Kate (photographed in 1992 at age 18) revealed that she felt pressure to pose topless when she had just started and she did it even though she did not like it at all.
Changes: the model said that now she would like to tell the young models that they do not have to undress if they do not want to do it
Kate reflected on her campaign Obsession, which she shot when she was 18, while Mario, 20, was behind the lens. She said the secret behind the iconic photos was "young love."
"We were so innocent, young and we were very excited about the job and everything," he said. & # 39; Everything was so new to us. Going to the Caribbean was new for us. It was an incredible opportunity and the images were incredible. "
Now, when she looks back on the campaign, Kate says she feels "deep affection", and adds: "It's so sweet."
While Kate's career quickly took off and the model quickly climbed the ranks of the modeling icon, she revealed that her mother once did not think Kate was photogenic.
Recalling her own beginnings, she recounted how she was discovered as a teenager at the John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City.
"My father worked for PanAm and we were back on vacation and the moment we traveled in standby mode," he said.
"We slept at JFK airport because we could not get home and they said, 'There are three seats left, get on the plane and find the seats,' so we went up and my agent was on the plane.
"She came and said" Have you ever thought about modeling? "And I was like," Nooo. "
"Then I went to see her in London and they signed me up."
Family: Kate revealed that she would not let her own 15-year-old daughter, Lila Grace Moss-Hack (pictured left with Kate and Stella Jones, right), pose topless
This is a rare television interview for Kate, who is famous for her privacy.
When asked by Megyn why she was so determined to save her personal life for herself, Kate explained, "I like having a life outside of work and I think it's important to me with my family." And even before that, really, just I wanted to keep things for myself. "
Still, she gave Megyn an idea of her life as a mother, and how her life changed after becoming a mother in 2002 at the age of 28.
"I never felt alone again," he said. & # 39; Always had my baby & # 39;
She said that she and her daughter are now "very close", and added: "Now we are spending time as friends. It's getting old, we can go shopping together. It's really fun. & # 39;
Kate also recalled her controversial quote from 2009, when she said that one of her slogans was "Nothing tastes so good as skinny."
The ruling provoked an uproar among people who feared it might encourage disordered eating habits.
"My friend used to say it," he said. "Because you know, we were all living together and you know, we'd go for the biscuits and say," Oh, nothing tastes like g- "It's a little tinkle.
Today, however, she said her philosophy remains: "Never complain, never explain."
"Just do it," he explained. "You can not do anything about what people think of you or if they lie or if what they say is not true, it does not matter." If you know who you are, then you can get ahead.
Kate said she still enjoys working as a model, although she believes the industry was "more fun" when it was just beginning because it was more "free" than it is now, after the increase in social networks.
However, in general, she believes that the industry is changing for the better.
"Now there is much more diversity," he said. & # 39; I think it's right. There are so many different sizes, colors and heights. Why would you simply be a one-size-fits-all model and be represented by all these people? Then yes. Of course, it's better.
As for her beauty tips, the model emphasized the importance of sleep and hydration in her routine.
& # 39; I'm a good girl. Go to bed, I drink a lot of water, "he said." Not much coffee, I'm trying to reduce cigarettes. "I take care of myself now.
When asked what he would like to say to his daughter that he wished he had known when he was younger, Kate said: "Tomorrow is another day, everything happens. You can be in a terrible [phase] and thinks it's the end of the world, but everything happens. I think it's important to remember it & # 39;
