Kate Middleton delighted schoolchildren by greeting them with high fives during a surprise visit to Hull yesterday.
The Princess of Wales, 41, approached a crowd of screaming pupils before joking: “Is anyone in class?” a video shared on TikTok broadcasts.
After leaving Allam Sports Centre, where she took part in a training session with England’s World Cup-winning wheelchair rugby team, the royal visited a local school.
There, she greeted the students and told them she “had to come say hello” because she “saw them waving.”

The clip was shared on TikTok by Howard, 13, who delightedly wrote: “Princess Kate came to my school.”
In the clip, dressed in sportswear, Kate approaches the children and jokes: “Is anyone in class?”
She then adds, “Oh, it’s lunch time.” I came back because I saw everyone here waving at me to leave and I said I wanted to come and say hello to you all.
“I’m in my sports gear, I tried wheelchair rugby, has anyone tried that?”
After one person asked, “Kate, can I say hello please?” The princess waved to the crowd, even with bandaged fingers, after injuring them on a trampoline a few weeks ago.
Earlier today, she visited the Disability Rugby League players’ meet, where she took part in a training session with England’s World Cup-winning wheelchair rugby team.
The mother-of-three chatted with team members before a young boy innocently sneaked up behind her to tickle her waist.
After causing a moment of alarm, the princess turned around to see that it was a cheeky rugby player having a bit of fun.

In the video, Kate can be heard saying: “Is anyone in class?” Oh, it’s lunch time. I came back because I saw everyone here waving at me to leave and I said I wanted to come and say hello to you all.
Kate quickly introduced herself to the enthusiastic player and shook his hand, while smiling at him.
The clip began with Kate in a sweet conversation with a team member after greeting them with a handshake.
But another player quickly stole the show by shouting “boo” and tickling the princess’s waist.
After the initial shock, Kate quickly found the light in the situation and turned to shake the young man’s hand with a wide smile on her face.
The interaction was just one of many fun moments the royal enjoyed during her action-packed engagement today.
And she was certainly dressed for action: while Kate has opted for sophisticated suits of late, she instead wore her signature navy Rugby League polo and tracksuit bottoms with white trainers for the occasion.
But despite her casual outfit, Kate still brought the glamor with perfectly styled hair and pretty makeup.

The princess looked completely in her element as she walked around with the World Cup winning team.

After meeting the players, the royal joined them and played in a match, although she still injured her hand playing trampoline with her children. His affected hand was wrapped in bandages.
Before heading to court, the princess told a team member: “I’m worried about my finger, but I’m willing to try.”
The bandages appear to be a precautionary measure following her injury earlier this month, when she injured her fingers while trampolining with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis at their home in Windsor.
But she certainly gave it her all, getting so caught up in the action during one match that she nearly crashed into one of the posts, stretching her arms out to brace herself for impact.
Showing her sporty side, the royal didn’t let her apparent injuries stop her as she threw herself into the match.
The royal first ran and passed the ball to the rugby team, before trying his hand at the wheelchair match with the English Wheelchair Rugby League – and was soon celebrating a score.
