According to a new report, Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, has no scheduled engagements for the rest of 2024. Kate, who is undergoing preventative chemotherapy, has only made two public appearances this year.
A recent health update suggests her limited appearances are a sign of positive progress in her recovery. “Kate has been exceptionally open and honest about her health. Making two appearances before the summer break, at Wimbledon and Trooping the Colour, was a clear sign that she is doing well,” a source told the BBC. The Daily Beast.
The source added“That’s what we’re hearing privately as well: it’s not over, but there’s a lot of optimism, a lot of positivity. Obviously, it’s still an incredibly worrying time, but all indications are that his cancer treatment, which is ongoing, is progressing well.”
Despite the good news, the source noted that Kate has no further public engagements scheduled for this year. “There is nothing on her agenda yet. I understand that people will have to get used to seeing a lot less of Kate. The priority for her now will be family and children. The youngest of them, Louis, is only six years old. Like many people who have a brush with death, Kate is going to prioritise the things that matter to her from now on. In her case, that means her children.”
Kate made her first official public appearance on June 15 at Trooping the Colour, accompanied by her three children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6. Her second appearance of the year was on July 14 during the men’s singles final at Wimbledon, where she was accompanied by Princess Charlotte and her sister, Pippa Matthews-Linda
Princess Kate will reportedly travel to Scotland this summer to join members of the royal family at Balmoral, having been given the green light by her medical team to travel. While Kate focuses on her health and family, her absence from public duties highlights the importance of prioritising personal wellbeing and cherished relationships during difficult times.
