Kate Middleton today shared the happy news that she has completed her chemotherapy and is looking forward to returning to public events.
The 42-year-old Princess of Wales announced in March that she would undergo preventative treatment after being diagnosed with cancer and would retire from public life.
In a deeply personal statement to the nation today, he revealed that his family has navigated “stormy waters” and his total focus is on being cancer-free.

‘As summer comes to a close, I cannot express to you the relief I feel at finally completing my chemotherapy treatment.
‘The last nine months have been incredibly hard on us as a family. Life as we know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate turbulent waters and uncharted paths.
The Princess of Wales has written a deeply personal message thanking those who have supported her, saying she has “drawn great strength” from them.

‘Humility also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you’ve never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything.
‘This moment has reminded William and I above all to reflect and be grateful for the simple but important things in life that many of us often take for granted. The simple fact of loving and being loved.
‘I am now focused on doing everything I can to stay cancer-free. Although I have completed chemotherapy, my road to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to live each day as it comes.
‘However, I look forward to returning to work and taking on some more public engagements in the coming months when I am able.
‘Despite everything that has happened so far, I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation for life.
‘William and I are so grateful for the support we have received and have drawn a lot of strength from all those who are helping us at this time. The kindness, empathy and compassion from everyone has been truly heartwarming.
