Princess Kate’s deeply personal cancer recovery video shows the “true depth of adoration and love” the Waleses have for each other, a body language expert has revealed.

Judi James analysed Kate’s video for MailOnline and said Kate is clearly “surrounded by the love of Prince William, her children and her parents” in the touching scenes shared by the royals today.

The Princess of Wales announced today that she has completed chemotherapy treatment following her health crisis earlier this year, saying the experience reminded her and William to “reflect and be grateful for the simple but important things in life.”

The princess’s personal message to the nation was accompanied by a stunning three-minute video showing her and William in Norfolk with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, filmed last month.

“The body language in this video tells us everything we need to know about Kate’s recovery, and more. Since their engagement, Kate and William have always been very careful and very restrained with their public displays of affection,” James said.

‘However, we are suddenly shown the true depth of their adoration and love for each other in some simple yet immensely moving scenes in this video.’

“William’s love for his wife comes across as intense and unfiltered here. There’s no sign of reserve or the typical stiff Windsor attitude. (William) takes both of Kate’s hands and strokes them or leans in to kiss her face in what looks like a completely impulsive and submissive moment,” James said.

The body language expert told MailOnline: ‘(Kate’s) affectionate embrace with William on a blanket in a forest shows Kate snuggled up completely against her husband in a pose of total trust and adoration.

‘But her arm is still around his shoulder in a gesture similar to the protective, motherly hug she is seen giving George when he clings to her in another open display of affection.

‘William’s love for his wife seems intense and unfiltered here.

‘When they sit in a row, he has one hand on one of her legs and Charlotte has her arm on the other, as if they all want to protect and appreciate Kate.’

She said that previously, Prince William had “rationed signals to a few loving glances and occasional touches” rather than holding hands, hugging or kissing.

Ms James added that while the video shows how much William and their children love and appreciate Kate, she is also “showing lots of signs of caring and motherly love”.

“Kate here gives protection and affection as much as she receives it,” the body language expert said.

The video shows the family happily playing on the beach and in the woods, with William and Catherine lying entwined on a blanket, hugging their children.

“There are moments of joy and playfulness in this video to emphasise the fact that this is a family in a state of celebration and not anxiety,” said body language expert Ms James.

While playing with the children, he also talks about a “new perspective” that suggests the reflection has prompted some important prioritizations.

‘Her pose of crossed arms and raised chin suggests firm and courageous resolve, as well as positivity and optimism.’

Other scenes in the video show Kate standing alone, arms crossed and eyes closed, leaning against a tree and turning her head towards the sun.

Ms James said this was “a sign of quiet reflection that also seems to suggest a need for patience”.

Former royal butler Grant Harrold said GB News Kate shared the personal video because she “wants other people suffering from cancer to know that she is there to support them.”

He said: ‘She’s there to tell them that she can look them in the eye and say ‘I’ve been there, I’ve done it, I’m getting through it’.

“It’s extraordinary that a member of the Royal Family can do this. It shows you what the modern Royal Family is like and it also makes you excited about the future of the Royal Family.”
