The Princess of Wales has told England’s Rugby World Cup players how “really exciting and very nerve-wracking” it was to cheer them on in their winning match in France on Saturday.
Rugby Football Union boss Kate, 41, was filmed speaking to athletes in their dressing room shortly after watching the team beat Argentina 27-10 in Marseille.
A clip from the meeting was shared by England Rugby in a behind-the-scenes look at Youtubewhere it was quickly seen by over 9,000 fans in a matter of hours.
Wearing a £1,945 recycled white Alexander McQueen suit, Kate told players: “Well done. It’s amazing how you manage to keep going.
“It was really exciting, very nerve-wracking to watch, I’m not going to lie, but honestly it was just fantastic,” she added.

The princess met Sabrina Agresti-Roubache, Secretary of State for the city of France and Renaud Muselier, president of the regional council of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur.
After watching England defeat the South American team, the royal held hands and chatted with the two politicians.
On Twitter, Ms Agresti-Roubache wrote: “I had the honor of welcoming Her Royal Highness, Princess of Wales Kate Middleton, also Patron of the English Rugby Union.
“A beautiful moment of exchange to recall the friendship that binds our two peoples.”
Later, Mr Muselier added: “Very honored to have met, on the sidelines of the #EnglandArgentina match, Her Royal Highness Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales.
“Welcome to France to our British friends, throughout this #rwc2023 World Cup”.
Clearly popular in France, the Princess of Wales was cheered by a crowd of 60,000 as she watched England defeat Argentina 27-10.

Kate stood in the stands and appeared to be in good spirits as she chatted to World Rugby chairman Bill Beaumont before the match at the Stade de Marseille.
