Kate Middleton’s media team must act quickly to prevent another wave of conspiracy theories. The Princess of Wales had to publicly announce her cancer diagnosis in March after widespread speculation she was missing following abdominal surgery in January.
Royal commentator Jack Royston said the weekly that the royal family should start informing the public about Kate’s treatment and her royal duties, especially if her current break extends into the fall. “It is necessary to keep the public informed to avoid further speculation and concern,” Royston advised.
“They will have to come back from August vacation with a plan on how to manage public opinion. It is starting to emerge again, but only at a low level. Significantly lower than what we were seeing in late February and into March,” she said.
“I think they have time. I think they will survive until fall. The royals obviously go to Balmoral for the summer in August. They will have to come back from the August holidays with a plan on how to manage public opinion and also questions from the media,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Kay Burley pointed out that the royals usually spend the summer at the Balmoral estate, suggesting they have until August to address any updates on Kate’s health and activities. Burley emphasized the importance of maintaining transparency with the public during this period.
