The Princess of Wales's recent outfit held great significance, featuring a handbag from a brand with deep ties to the Royal Family, reflecting her commitment to the company

The Princess of Wales made a heartfelt visit to the Royal Marsden Hospital in London on Tuesday, where she had previously undergone cancer treatment.

Effortlessly stylish in a custom Blaze Milano coat and Russell & Bromley pumps, Kate received widespread praise for her warm and compassionate interactions with current patients.

Reflecting her devotion to the royal family, she carried a handbag with deep ties to the monarchy.

The impeccably designed Asprey ‘Morgan’ bag combines timeless elegance with contemporary style. Priced at £2,995, it is aimed at people who value both luxury and functionality.

Asprey’s connection to the British Royal Family dates back to the 19th century, when Queen Victoria granted the brand its first royal warrant.

The company also runs a philanthropy program that supports various charities, which is probably another aspect that appeals to Kate.

Her performance marked another success for the brand. “Asprey is incredibly honored that the Princess of Wales carried the Morgan leather handbag on her trip to the Royal Marsden Hospital,” VIP sales director Bobby Gill told MailOnline.

‘She is a loyal supporter of British brands and in the case of Asprey, embodies the future of that special historical bond that the brand has with the Royal Family.’

The ‘Morgan’ design features a sleek silhouette, expertly crafted from soft grained leather with a lush suede interior, providing plenty of space to store essentials.

“It transitions effortlessly from day to evening, making it an ideal companion for any occasion,” Mr Gill said proudly.

Kate owns an earlier version of the bag, which is still available for purchase in stores. The updated version, offered both online and in-store, features a chain shoulder strap in place of the favored royal top handle style.

“Each element has been carefully designed to combine style with functionality, reflecting the brand’s heritage and attention to detail,” Mr Gill continued.

The princess has long been an admirer of Asprey’s jewelery and leather collections, with five pairs of earrings, two necklaces and now two bags.

However, the brand’s links with the royal family go back much further, to 1862, when Queen Victoria granted the company a royal warrant for dressing trunks, travel bags and writing cases.

Since then, Asprey has been granted a royal warrant by every British monarch, including Queen Elizabeth II, along with several foreign heads of state.

In 1925, Queen Mary commissioned a five-strand pearl necklace, which was later presented to Princess Margaret on her 18th birthday.

The brooch was later passed on to Queen Elizabeth II, who often wore it on trips to Canada and for events in Britain related to Canada.

Following her mother's lead, the queen loaned the brooch to Kate, who wore it during several visits to Canada in 2011 and 2016.

During the fourth year of his reign, King George VI became the first British monarch to grant Asprey a royal warrant as jewelers and silversmiths.

Queen Elizabeth II renewed these warrants and extended them to goldsmiths.

Although Asprey originally specialized in silk scarves, the brand expanded into luggage and dressing trunks in response to the rise of rail travel for the wealthy class at the turn of the 19th century.

Now known for its exquisite jewelry, Asprey’s vintage and contemporary collections remain a favorite with royalty, as seen in the Maple Leaf Brooch.
