She burst into tears after a “hell afternoon” earlier this week.

But Kate Lawler seemed to be in good spirits again when she went swimming with her daughter Noa for the first time on Friday, with the pair wearing matching navy blue polka-dot bathing suits.

The former Big Brother star, 41, kept her 13-week-old baby close to her as she shared a series of sweet snaps and videos on Instagram.

The mummy-daughter duo were also joined by Kate’s partner Martin for the day out, who also donned matching navy trunks.

Kate told her fans she would ‘never forget the happy day’, captioning the sweet snaps: ‘Keep swiping left for a video of the potato [Noa] in the water.

“We keep looking back at it, laughing at her small body, a tense and serious face, wondering what the hell was going on.

“I had to put her on two layers because the water was quite cold and we didn’t have the courage to submerge her on the first dive, but I guess she didn’t mind the pool in general.

“I love making such memories with my family. When I see Noa doing things for the first time, my heart aches with love. It’s just a shame the dogs weren’t allowed in!’

Noa looked adorable as she bobbed around the pool in a pink wetsuit with a sweet unicorn print while Kate supported her in the water.

Martin also got involved in the action when he rocked baby Noa as they paddled next to a large beach ball.

After the swim, Kate was sure that Noa would be warm and toasty again after her dip in the cold water as she cuddled her in a striped towel.

The adorable family outing comes after Kate admitted on Wednesday that her day had been a struggle and took to Instagram in tears.

Since welcoming Noa in February, the former reality star has always been open with her fans about the highs and lows of motherhood.

In the candid video, she said, “Is it just me or is every day either a happy morning followed by a hellish afternoon (or vice versa) with a baby?”

She continued, “There never seems to be an entirely good or bad day. Will they ever come? Or is this it for life now? I feel so down tonight.’

“Just for balance, I’ve had a really bad afternoon,” she added, before forcing a smile.

Kate then shared a photo of her daughter’s leg, with a huge bruise.

She explained, “Brugged potato. Probs because Noa had her 16 weeks vaccinations yesterday and was in pain today.’ (sic)

Kate made the decision a few weeks ago to hire a doula named Siobhan Smith to help her through the early testing months of motherhood.

A doula is a trained companion, who is not a health care professional, but supports another person through an important health-related experience, such as childbirth.

She took to Instagram to share about the help she received from Siobhan, saying, “I can’t even tell you how much this lovely woman has helped us.”

The former Big Brother star said in the emotional post, “I can’t even tell you how much this lovely woman has helped us.”

She continued: ‘[Siobhan] came to a real low point for us, when Noa slept no more than 45 minutes for days and everything felt so, so, so hard.

It wasn’t just being able to sleep at night (although Kate still had to wake up to express herself).

“It was the hours of advice she gave us to spot the signs we were missing – for fatigue, hunger, stomachaches and so on.

“Showing us how to help Noa calm down, how to put her to sleep without disturbing her, all the things you don’t know much about as new parents.” (sic)
