Kate Hudson was spotted on the set of Mindy Kaling’s untitled Netflix basketball series on Wednesday in Los Angeles.
In the 10-episode comedy, Hudson, 44, plays the owner of the fictional Los Angeles Waves basketball team, who is forced to prove herself “in the male-dominated world of sports” after snatching the franchise to his brother.
The actress was seen between takes drinking a bottle of Perrier and going over her lines.
Hudson appeared to be wearing light makeup and her blonde hair was styled in loose waves.
As for her outfit, the mother of three wore a ‘Waves’ t-shirt, loose-fitting pink pants, and brown UGG slippers.

In addition to starring on the show, Hudson is also listed as Mindy’s executive producer.
Production on the sports comedy began last month, more than two years after Netflix commissioned it.
“When a scandal forces her brother to resign, Isla Gordon (Hudson) is named president of the Los Angeles Waves, one of the most storied professional basketball franchises, and her family business,” reads the official synopsis, according to Variety.
“Ambitious and often overlooked, Isla will have to prove to her skeptical brothers, the board of directors and the sports community at large that she was the right choice for the job, especially in the unpredictable, male-dominated world of sports.”
The miniseries is inspired by Los Angeles Lakers boss Jeanie Buss.
It will also star Disney Channel alum Brenda Song and Chet Hanks.
According to Deadline, Chet, son of Oscar winner Tom Hanks and singer Rita Wilson, plays Waves point guard and aspiring rapper Travis Bugg.
Mindy co-wrote the script with Ike Barinholtz and David Stassen, who will also serve as showrunner for the 10-episode project.
Although Hudson is best known for her memorable film roles, such as Almost Famous (2000) and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003), she has recently branched out into television.

In 2021, he joined the Apple TV+ drama series Truth Be Told, which concluded in 2023.
Earlier this year, Hudson surprised his fans by getting into music.
She officially released her debut single, Talk About Love, in January, which she co-wrote with Linda Perry and her fiancé Danny Fujikawa.
In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Hudson spoke about entering the music industry and writing songs for his next album.
‘It’s really fun. I’m really enjoying it. The writing process was the most important and cathartic for me,’ he expressed to the media.
‘I wrote the songs, so they’re very personal, and each one is a different kind of expression of myself. “Each (song) will feel different, but obviously I think it’s very authentic to me.”
The album will be released later this year, although a fixed date has not yet been announced. Meanwhile, she explained that she has been busy making music videos to accompany some of the tracks.
“Right now I’m thinking about doing a couple of different music videos, and the fashion in each of them are different extensions of myself in these songs,” Kate said, adding, “Now I can have fun putting the visuals into it.” and share it with everyone.’

Hudson confessed that it took her “a while” to be able to “sing the song to the end without crying.”
Although he initially found it difficult to surprise his emotions in the studio, he said he “did it.”

The lyrics of Live Forever are about Ryder and becoming a mother for the first time, as well as growing up together. Kate became a mother for the first time with Ryder at 24 years old.
The music video also shows Ryder growing up, from a baby, through his childhood, into his teens, and into his teens, before showing him in the present day moving out of the family home in his 20s.
