Kate and Rio have a son, Cree, and a daughter, Shae, who celebrated her first birthday this month.
While Kate is stepmother to Rio’s children Lorenz, 18, Tate, 15, and Tia, from his first wife Rebecca Ellison, who tragically passed away in 2015 after a short battle with breast cancer.
This comes after Kate praised the “beautiful bond” she has created with her stepdaughter Tia.
The TV personality shared a sweet video of the pair holding hands as they ran along the beach and said he “couldn’t imagine life” without her.
Alongside the video, Kate wrote: ‘It can be difficult becoming a stepmother to a child who has lost her mother, but over the years, the ups and downs, the judgements of others, the beautiful and confusing moments, a beautiful bond has been created.
“It’s a privilege to be able to be by your side and take care of you like a mother would. Sometimes we drive each other crazy, but we couldn’t imagine life without each other either.
“As long as we understand each other, no one else will need it. This is a very special and truly unconditional love.”
Responding to comments on her video, Kate admitted: “I keep watching this and crying.”
