Kate Ferdinand compared her husband Rio to a “washing machine” as the couple made a hilarious confession during Friday’s episode of Celebrity Gogglebox.
The TV personality, 33, and former footballer, 45, joined a host of famous faces on the special as they watched and discussed President Trump, Sky’s Canal Boat Diaries and Channel 4’s The Nevermets.
But while catching up on some recent TV shows, Kate and Rio discussed meal times with their “blended” family of five, and the author revealed her biggest “puck” about her husband.
Speaking about his ‘wild eating habits’, Rio explained: ‘I find it hard to eat at home now. If we don’t have loud music, you don’t want to sit near me or the kids, and especially Tia.
Kate, who? She welcomed her daughter Shae last July and also shares her three-year-old son Cree with her husband Rio.She is the stepmother of the former English footballer’s children, Lorenz, 17, Tate, 15, and Tia, 13.

Kate replied: ‘Don’t you think it might just be a “you” thing now? It’s not a “us thing.”
“I’ve been around all my teammates for years and no one has said, ‘Oh my God, Rio is like the wildest eater,'” he added.
Kate exclaimed: ‘It’s like a wash. machine! We don’t all invent it, I think you just have to evaluate the way you eat it.’
‘Maybe it’s because your food is so delicious that I can’t control myself!’ she joked.
Other celebrities included in the special included Jeff Brazier and his son Bobby and Loose Women friends Judi Love and Charlene White, as well as regulars Danny Dyer and his daughter Dani.
Recently, Kate showed off her strong bond with her stepson Lorenz while praising him for his achievements on Instagram.
The 17-year-old follows in the footsteps of his footballer father Rio and closed his season with Brighton FC under 18s with an awards night.
Kate went to watch the teenager, who signed as Seagull’s under-18 goalkeeper in 2022, take a gong before returning to the family home for the summer.

The former TOWIE star looked effortlessly chic in a figure-hugging black top, satin skirt and Prada heels.
She wrote: ‘And simply that the season is over. It was a very proud moment to see you receive your award last night. It has been a pleasure to watch you grow and I feel very lucky to be on this journey with you.
“I love you so much and we are all so happy to have you home for the summer before the hard work continues.”
Last month, Rio’s eldest son signed with New Era Global Sports Management, joining his father and uncle Anton at the agency.
The 17-year-old signed with Brighton as an under-18 goalkeeper in 2022 and has made 18 appearances for the Seagulls’ youth team this season.
New Era’s current Premier League clients include Everton defenders Ben Godfrey and Michael Keane, as well as Jacob Murphy.
Recently, Kate showed off her strong bond with her stepson Lorenz while praising him for his achievements on Instagram.
In addition to current stars, the agency also represents the interests of Ferdinand, Mick McCarthy, Harry Redknapp and Robbie Savage.
Kate revealed last year that Lorenz had left the nest and was living with another family after signing with the Seagulls.
The TV star and Rio admitted it was emotional when the teenager moved out, but insisted they were proud as the family he lived with praised his manners.
Kate said on her Blended podcast: ‘I was devastated when he moved away. It’s a really big deal, I was excited. I miss him a lot. We still see him twice a week but it’s taken a lot of getting used to.’
