The actress met up with her mother Judy Loe as they headed out for lunch in leafy Chiswick, but rather than hitting the area’s fancier restaurants, the pair opted for a hearty chicken meal at a local branch of Nandos.
Kate, 51, turned heads in a floral summer dress and knee-high leather boots as she documented her day in a series of Instagram posts.
The pair also visited Marks & Spencer, where they browsed the aisles in search of Skips and Quavers before returning to their car, where a parking ticket awaited them.
Captioning the posts, Kate – who spends much of her time in Los Angeles – wrote: ‘Walking around Chiswick with my mum makes my solar plexus relax – plus we have Quavers and Skips. Watch out America!’

The actress, who turned 51 on July 26, has alarmed fans with her recent weight loss after going through weeks in the hospital with a stress-related tear in the esophagus after a difficult year during which mJudy was diagnosed with stage four cancer.
“I think people go through things in life and we all face difficulties, and I’ve been pretty transparent about mine,” she told the Daily Mail’s Stephanie Takyi while attending Gala One’s Summer Gala at the Golf Club Saint-Tropez.
‘I’ve been taking care of my mother mainly and she’s fine.’
Kate, the daughter of the late Porridge and Rising Damp star Richard Beckinsale, was left disappointed that some guests spoke over her as she tried to discuss the charity’s initiatives.
She shouted, “Since none of you are listening, I might as well talk to myself.”
Earlier this month, she revealed her weight loss is due to “stress and grief” over the death of her stepfather and her mother’s cancer diagnosis while responding to trolls.

The actress slammed some of her “moron” followers who told her she needed to gain weight in the comments section of an Instagram post.
After sharing a video clip of herself wearing a crop top and bikini bottoms, one follower asked where her bum had gone and encouraged Kate to “do some squats.”
Another claimed her body had “shrunken”, while another insisted she “looked upset” in the video posted on Monday night.
However, Kate hit back at the cruel comments, explaining that there were several reasons for her changing figure, including a six-week stay in hospital.
She replied: ‘No, actually, I watched my stepfather die in a pretty shocking way, my mother has stage 4 cancer and I lost a lot of eight years to the stress and grief…
‘Pretty quickly and then I was in hospital for six weeks because the pain had made a hole in my oesophagus, which made me vomit large amounts of blood, and I found it very difficult to eat…
‘And I worked very, very hard on a film that was actually quite provocative because it also involved the subject of my father’s death, so I’m not really worried about what people think of my ass.
‘Maybe you should worry about your own ass. I suggest you stick something in it, like a big pineapple or a brick.’
A parking ticket awaited Kate and Judy when they returned to their car on Monday.
Kate’s stepfather, Roy Battersby, died in January after suffering “a massive stroke” while battling two forms of cancer, which he had been diagnosed with the previous summer.
Shortly after her death, Kate also revealed that her mother Judy Loe had been diagnosed with stage four cancer.
In recent months, Kate had been caring for her mother and late stepfather after flying them from the UK to stay with her in Los Angeles.
“Kate has been caring for her seriously ill parents for most of the year,” a source exclusively told DailyMail.com late last year.
