And more than a year after his death, Kate confessed that she dreaded Halloween because it was a very special time for her and her muse.

Kate Beckinsale, 50, paid tribute to her cat Clive on Monday, a year after his death, with an emotional post on Instagram.
The actress shared a heartbreaking post calling her beloved pet her ‘soulmate and love of her life’ while confessing that she still missed him while showing off her cat Willow and dog Wylf.
The tribute included several videos of Kate playing with her beloved pets.
She captioned the adorable post: “I tend to dread Halloween a little these days because Clive was so happy to be my muse and also looked like a supermodel, fully committing to every costume and silly idea.”
“I really feel like Myf and Willow are really sorry and have chosen to carry his torch and they really delivered – no complaints and some iconic poses, which is new… RIP to my soulmate and the love of my life, and I hope that you have fun from the heaven of cats to see the little ones carrying it in their name I love you x’.
In one image, Kate donned an elegant black dress with a statement pink bow and matching bag, and hugged Willow, who was also dyed pastel pink.
For another photo, Kate wore a corseted pink minidress with a balloon skirt and towering platform heels while playing with the Persian cat.
The star also dressed Willow as Rambo, complete with a red bandana and bulletproof vest, joking that the cat wig was big enough for her.
In one clip, she dressed the cat as a strawberry while she lay naked and gave herself a massage.
In another video, Kate played with her dog Wylf while he dressed as an octopus while sitting on a blanket displaying a giant portrait of Clive.
Kate’s Instagram tribute comes after she confessed to sleeping with Clive’s ashes last year.

In another clip, she dressed the cat as a strawberry while she lay naked and gave herself a massage.
The actress revealed last year that she misses her cat so much that she sleeps with its ashes every night.
The Van Helsing star was “totally heartbroken” when Clive died in June aged 19 and was clearly still processing her emotions.
After a fan asked her on Instagram if he was cremated or buried, she wrote: “Cremated and call me weird but I sleep with his little coffin in my bed every night.”
When he died, she wrote: ‘My heart is absolutely and totally broken. Every part of my house feels like he should be in it.’
The self-proclaimed ‘cat’ and star of the Underworld horror films, got Clive when he was a kitten.
She regularly dressed him up for Christmas and Halloween, and they were often seen in coordinated outfits.
“We got it when my daughter (Lily Sheen, now 20) was little,” she told People in 2019.
“And he’s usually oddly shaved, but he’s a recent cancer survivor.”
In another video, Kate plays with her dog Wylf while he dresses up as a rabbit with a carrot.
While speaking about Clive’s personality in the medium, the mother of one praised that his “favorite things in the world are suitcases, boxes and bags.”
“If you bring home a pair of sneakers or take out a bag, he’s immediately in it,” she gushed. “So we bought him this suitcase bed and he loves it.”
Beckinsale also stated that she prefers cats because they are “easier” to care for than dogs.
“You don’t have to walk around with a bag of poop like you do with a dog, which I hate walking around with a bag of poop,” he mused.
Clive’s life of luxury was widely documented on the artist’s social media, which is filled with photos of him dressed in fun costumes, traveling on private planes and staying by his side through thick and thin.
