Football star Rio Ferdinand allegedly attacked an intruder in his garden last night, holding off the man until police arrived, while his pregnant wife and children slept in their luxury home.
Ferdinand and his wife Kate had a security scare last night, MailOnline revealed earlier, when intruders were spotted inside the grounds of their Bromley mansion.
A source close to the couple confirmed there was a security incident at their exclusive Home Counties address on Friday.
CCTV footage captured the suspected intruder trying out the rear patio doors of the £4million home the night before, The sun reports.
The man then reportedly spent the night in the garden before the former England ace confronted him and held him down while waiting for the police.
