Kat Von D helped her husband Rafael Reyes celebrate his 50th birthday at Craig’s in West Hollywood on Thursday.
The 42-year-old tattoo artist and the Mexican author and musician were accompanied by their five-year-old son, Leafar Von Drachenberg Reyes.
Interestingly, his son’s name is a funny version of his father’s name, as it is Rafael spelled backwards.
The star, who recently shared an update on her transformation by covering the tattoo completely in black, showed off her tattooed stomach in a long-sleeved black crop top, which she teamed with a pair of black bell-bottoms.
She was wearing black Poe vegan leather sandals from her luxury vegan footwear brand Von D. The shoes have vibrant candy red insoles and retail for $200.
Kat Von D, 42, helped her husband Rafael Reyes celebrate his 50th birthday at Craig’s in West Hollywood on Thursday with their five-year-old son, Leafar Von Drachenberg Reyes.
The star, whose real name is Katherine von Drachenberg, showed off her tattooed stomach in a long-sleeved black crop top, which she teamed with a pair of black bell-bottoms.
Kat, born Katherine von Drachenberg, completed her outfit with dark gothic makeup, a black handbag and a silver necklace.
Rafael was wearing a partially unbuttoned, long-sleeved, black see-through shirt, black pants, and a pair of cowboy boots.
He shielded his eyes with a pair of sunglasses and gently held his arm around Kat’s waist.
Meanwhile, his son was wearing a rocker t-shirt, black pants and sneakers.
Kat also took to her Instagram Stories on Thursday to share a loved-up snap with her husband, giving him a sweet kiss on the cheek.
“My man,” she wrote in the caption of the photo, which was taken at El Mercadito, a market that offers a combination of shopping, dining and entertainment with a strong Mexican cultural influence. In another photo from the market, she posed with Leafar.
Earlier this week, Kat shared a glimpse of the family’s vacation in Mexico, where she was born.
In the caption she also said it had been a “tough year” and that she was grateful to be able to step away and make new memories.
In a snapshot we saw her and Rafael on a yacht, with an impressive blue water as a background.

Kat, who recently won a copyright case over a famous Miles Davis photograph, dazzled in a theatrical wide-brimmed black hat and matching black dress. Meanwhile, Rafael sported a jumpsuit.
In another photo, they are seen exploring water caves with Leafar.
Kat gave her son a bright smile as she swam with him and explored the picturesque area.
The full text of her message read: “It’s been a tough year to be honest. I’m so grateful to be able to spend some much needed family time away from all the chaos and I can’t thank @thefivesoceanfront and @romarleybeachhouse enough for making this little family vacation so special.”
“The beautiful views, the food, the activities and the warm hospitality, but most importantly, the memories I created with my husband, my son, my dad and my uncle. You have no idea how meaningful it was to return to my homeland in this way.”
Kat married Rafael in February 2018. She gave birth to their son that November.
She was also previously married to tattoo artist Oliver Peck in 2003. They separated in August 2007 and finalized their divorce that same year.
The star was also previously engaged to Sandra Bullock’s ex-husband Jesse James and musician Deadmau5.
Last month, Kat posed for a stunning new photoshoot that revealed her all-black tattoo.
The star, who first revealed in October that she would be covering all of her colorful tattoos with solid black ink, opened up about her decision while speaking to Inked Magazine.

She also posed for a stunning photo shoot showing off her black painted arms and back.
“I think I was just fed up with a lot of the tattoos I’d gotten over the years for a long time,” Kat confessed to the outlet before noting that she reached out to an artist, Hoode, who specializes in black tattoos to get started.
“I couldn’t explain how satisfying it was to see all the messes he cleaned up with his tattoos,” the LA Ink alum recalled. “I think at the time I thought I would just get one arm tattooed, but soon after I knew I would end up getting my whole body tattooed.”
Last fall, Kat posted a video of the darkening process on her Instagram account, explaining that it took 17 sessions and nearly 40 hours of work to “get about 80% done with darkening my body.”
