A cat in Turkey melted hearts after walking into a hospital with her newborn kitten in her mouth to seek medical attention.
Video footage taken at a hospital in the Karabaglar district of Izmir, Turkey, showed the cat walking into the hospital with his kitten clutched in its mouth.
One can see people stepping aside in the video to let the mother cat go through the building, while some tell other people to get out of the way.
The mother cat had previously been helped by the hospital staff who left food and water for the animal.

After examining the kitten, doctors and nurses discovered that the animal was suffering from an eye infection, and after a consultation, a veterinary clinic stepped in to help treat the kitten.
Additional video clips recorded by hospital staff in Turkey showed two kittens sitting in a box while a health worker talked to them.
While another showed a nurse applying eye drops to treat the kitten’s infection.
One of the health workers told the local media: ‘We gave food and water to the mother cat who lived on the street with other people who lived in this area. However, we did not know that she gave birth to kittens.
After examining the kitten, doctors and nurses discovered that the animal was suffering from an eye infection, and after a consultation, a veterinary clinic stepped in to treat the kitten and administer eye drops.
When we started receiving patients in the morning, she showed up with her kittens. She asked for help, meowing for a long time. We were shocked.
‘During careful examination, we saw that the kittens were unable to open their eyes due to an infection.
‘We consulted with veterinarians and gave medicines as described. When the kittens opened their eyes a short while later, we were delighted.
‘Later we sent the mother cat and kittens to Uzundere for further care. This is the first time that something like this has happened to us. We were emotional and delighted to see them recovering well. ‘
